Florida Creatives Happy Hour
A few things you should check out if you're in/near Orlando.
First, Central Florida PHP and second Florida Creatives.
I organize Florida Creatives, and we have a large number of web developers and designers attend each month. Our next Happy Hour will be at the Crooked Bayou, across the street from the Orlando Library. Our meetings are always 3rd Mondays of the month in the same place.
Contract programmer | Western States Arts Federation
I represent a nonprofit regional arts organization that is currently seeking a skilled DRUPAL programmer to correct issues with and make improvements to a DRUPAL-based website focused on one civic arts community. Both traditional web and graphic design skills are an advantage. Your physical location is not important, but mastery of written and spoken English is required. Pay range is between USD 90-125 an hour, depending on skills and experience.
PLAY7.com in beta - Southern California's Intimate Theatre Guide
This is my first-ever drupal site. I started by trying to duplicate an ASB VBScript site that a long-lost developer did for me. When the old site's database corrupted a few weeks ago, it naturally accelerated my development of the drupal site. I pulled everything together and posted the beta as quickly as I could.
We're almost 100! Let's set the table...
What should we do to celebrate the 100 subscriber plateau? Should we have a party? Should we work on something? Seems like the sky's the limit in terms of amazing things we can do. What sorts of things would people like to accomplish, build and/or learn? Does this group contain mainly developers? Are there a lot of artists/musicians, people in related business'? How can we use Drupal to not only distribute, but filter and recommend music and art? Are there ways that art and music can help Drupal raise awareness and/or fund development (similar to public broadcasting)?
