GoingOn (http://www.goingon.com/) is actively seeking Drupal developers who can create high quality modules for our platform. We are building upon a Spaces, Features and Organic Groups system, so much of the work we will contract out will be building og_spaces compatible features and any modules necessary to drive the feature. We're building a social e-learning platform on Drupal where many of the features will be social, collaboration and education focused.

Firstly congrats to the Open Atrium team its a really impressive product and I think is going to be the basis for many effective communities... Thank you for your hard work.
As we have seen with DrupalEd , organic groups make great classrooms.

I think a really useful open atrium install profile that could be an e-learning system out of the box ... would be a combination of DrupalED and Open Atrium

I am the co-founder of the Mediabird Study Notes software, which is an extension to existing LMS.

Mediabird is a collaborative online notepad that allows small study groups to collaboratively work on shared notes at any time. It is not only possible to extend notes or edit them at the same time but in particular Mediabird allows users to annotate notes and ask questions about them. With that respect, Mediabird combines the ideas of a wiki and of a forum but is not as public as a wiki and relates questions to the notes rather than separating them as done in a forum.

About Me

I am sivaji from India doing B.E Final year computer science engineering, i have been using drupal for past six months, very much comfortable with its features and community support. I am looking for a chance to contribute something to our drupal community and learn some nifty hacks. My work and area of interest revolves around Ubuntu, PHP, Drupal, Ajax, Jquery, Joomla.

Overview

This is a reposting from http://elearning.psu.edu/projects/node/113 of a presentation that I put up yesterday. It's me at The International Designs on E-Learning Conference a few weeks ago talking about how Penn State (more specifically e-Learning Institute) is using Drupal to power our course infrastructure. This is mostly high level but has a lot of screen shots, selling point type info, links, and a detailed walk through of two of our courses / some of our projects.

I am beginning the development of an interactive course in computer music production as part of a larger educational research project. I have some experience in Drupal already and I want to capitalise on this and expand my knowledge of the system.
The project does not have a big community element although there will be different user classes i.e. student/educator/admin

The main requirements are:

Students view and educators view - I'm thinking of a 3 column design with nav and course pages for students and an extra column for teachers/facilitators

So I showed off a veerrrryyy brief presentation of ELMS and the Assignment Studio yesterday but we're working on A LOT of other projects / related projects. So, tonight around 7pm some of us are going to meet up to discuss ELMS and our initiatives at PSU in greater detail. The hope of this discussion is to try and get edu focused developers excited about this direction and start coming up with an attack plan for future development. This product will be available on drupal.org as soon as it's legal (http://drupal.org/project/elms just a name space at the moment and small description).

Talks about a few modules that they are getting ready to release in the next little while. Course Designer being one of them and Assignment Studio is another one. I didn't have a ton of time to look through the site but after watching a few of the screencasts it looks pretty promising.
