Just wanted to let you know that I made a video summary of DrupalConSF using the Drupal Song sung at the closing ceremonies.
It is my first music video and hope you enjoy all the Drupal Pets and even features Ben F. of Austin's Volacci. Other featured folks include webchick, Bryan Ruby (CMSReport), Jeff Robbins (Lullabot), Dmitri Gaskin (Drush), and Doug Vann (on guitar).
Let me know what you think,
In the Geo BOF we discussed having a sprint and discussion on the Geo module. This will happen at 6pm on Tuesday, April 20 in the ChX Coder Lounge (Parc 55 Hotel, Divisadero Room 2nd floor).
I would also like to do a code sprint on the Location module this Thursday, April 22 at DrupalCon SF. I have a few specific goals:
- reorganize the admin interface
- make the default settings sane
- spruce up Views integration
Hello -- anyone going to Drupalcon2010 SF?
Would you like to get together and discuss education projects?
Anyone working on an I3 grant proposal using Drupal?
Let's find a time and location to meet. Any suggestions?
I know there aren't many Drupal users in the area, but I thought I'd mention it - I will be attending Drupalcon San Francisco. If you're local and you're going as well, definitely let me know.
The good: we're having a library-related panel!
The bad: it's on Wednesday morning, on the last day!
I wanted to nudge the Libraries group members to start coming up with a time for a BoF. (BoF, for the uninitiated, means "Birds of a Feather," or an unofficial meeting of like-minded individuals.)
Kate, Tammy, and I will all be in San Francisco by Sunday afternoon, but we're getting together that evening to review our presentation, so I think it's safe to say we aren't available before Monday morning.
If you're interested, post and let's figure out a time that works for everyone.
I'd like to meet other Transitioners who are also attending DrupalCon SF...I was thinking of creating a BOF or we could just meet for drinks somewhere.
In another thread the possibility of an Albany-area meetup at DrupalCon SF was briefly discussed, but I thought we'd move any in-depth discussion here to keep things tidy. For now, this thread is to gauge general interest before the event, and to give us an URL to pass on to those who aren't yet part of the group but might be interested. As the date gets closer and we have a pretty good idea of who's coming and what's happening, we can talk schedules and location, and go from there.Read more
webchick had a good idea about doing another BoF at DrupalCon San Francisco like we did at Boston in 2008.
What about this idea?
Maybe we could meet up earlier in the conference, earlier in the morning before a lunch. We could break into groups of 20-30 women, and go round/introduce ourselves and have a group discussion. Then, we could eat lunch. People who have to go to sessions that conflict with the BoF could come to lunch. If we announce early on, people won't have a hard time finding the group.
Hello Texas Drupalers!
Are you going to DrupalconSF? Interested in saving some money on lodging? I've been looking into options for cheap lodging and unless I do couch surfing I'll probably get a bed at a hostel. I found some great options on Hostel World with rates around $20/night, but I wanted to see how interested people were interested in sharing a private room. Some hostels are well within walking distance of the Moscone Center, include free wifi & free breakfast.Read more
