Drupal 6

Hi,

I am hoping you can help me. I work for a university and have recently been assigned to a project working with on-line community portals built using Drupal. I am trying to set up a sandbox system that I can play with, so that I don't mess up the actual sites. The problem I am having is setting up multisites using the same code base. I can get a single site set up and running just fine, however every time I try and set up multisites everything stopes working. I have followed all the instructions I can find on-line including these from the Drupal site:

We need true single sign on functionality across 14 or so domains presently functioning on Drupal 6 via Domain Access. Trying to build a site with drupal, and stuck on the core architecture. The desired effect overview:

*User can go to a search page and select country, state, and city.

CIMBA is a university based in Asolo, Italy that grants MBA's to students from all over the world. Due to the distance between the different student groups, planning, coordinating, and building the alumni network has proved challenging. Our alumni association membership is in the thousands, however the membership groups are spread out between the multitude of social media networks out there, such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and (hold your breath) Twitter.

I wouldn't mind presenting a session on Views for Drupal 6.

For those that don't know Views (aka Views 2) in Drupal 6 has been completely redone from Drupal 5 days.. and IT ROCKS!!! No, seriously, Views2 is by far the most powerful web creation tool on the planet. Even if you were pretty familiar with Drupal 5 Views; you'd really need to see Views2 to get an idea of just how powerful this is.

I am currently working on http://www.nobleprog.com site.
The idea is to make "time discovery" process as easy as possible. Usually we spend a lot of time trying to find suitable time for the trainer and the delegates. It is even more complicated if it is a distance course.
So, so far when a person books the course, they propose the time, then the time is accepted or adjusted by the trainer and then goes back to the client.

Of course each time is presented in "users timezone".

Is there a module that synchronizes two Drupal sites, migrating nodes created one in the other? My sites are D5 -> D6. I'd like to preserve URL aliases if possible. Mainly I'm synchronizing blogs, with all the related comment/user/node issues. I've seen some ideas out there (Node Export with Node Import), but I'd like to know if anyone has done this simply or has some clever idea.

Smartphone Experts own and operate a number of world class Smartphone blogs and communities (such as precentral.net and crackberry.com). We’ve grown steadily over the last few years and have reached the point where dedicated coverage is needed for our communities.

We built a large site, a bit module-heavy but nothing out of the ordinary. Problem is that the page flickers on each and every page which seems odd since many pages have very little content or graphics. By flicker, we mean that the white background of the content/node loads after everything else so that purple background pops in first, then the white background.

We turned on the cache and other basic settings. We also moved to a large server, which helped the overall loading speed but didn't do anything for the flickering.

Hey all,

I notice that the audio module is still unstable on D6 and hasn't had a release since May. Views podcast is still dev for 5x.

So what are you folks using for audio podcasting in D6 sites? I've seen a discussion or two that were from back in the D5 days.
