Hi all,

We are seeking volunteers to help design, develop and contribute content to a new online community - OneWorldWiki. People at any skill level or interest in Drupal are welcome - designers, developers, themers, or simply people who want to make a difference.

The "wiki" in OneWorldWiki means mass collaboration. Originally, we started using Mediawiki but found it too limiting so we're now using the wonderful world of Drupal.

Hello all,

A few of us in the activist community trying to raise the profile of the Palestinian cause decided that we are way overdue a community website.

There are many organisations from Canada to Japan that are doing their thing trying to get more attention on the plight of the Palestinians.

However, all these efforts are completely disjointed and few people really know what's going on where.

So, this planned community hub/portal would do the following:

• connect activists/campaigners/interested people
• provide news (through feeds of useful websites)

The New America Foundation is seeking a managing editor for NewAmerica.net to help improve and expand our online presence. The ideal candidate will have a love of both journalism and technology, and be keenly interested in a wide range of public policy.

NEEDED - Full Time Web Developer (with Drupal expertise)

and launched a new Drupal-based website -- www.ourfuture.org. We've now
got a great position open for someone with web development experience --
and experience/interest in Drupal specifically is a huge plus.

The US election year is going to make things incredibly exciting at our
organization! We've got a great online team in place, and a lot of fun
projects planned for year. We're now just looking to fill the final
developer slot on the team.

I am looking for a talented Drupal developer to work Full Time on the Tom Udall for Senate campaign. While I set telecommuting to "not allowed", we can work something out if it takes you some time to move down to albuquerque. While you would mainly be building/maintaining organizing tools for the campaign, we will need you to help a bit with blogging and social media as well as following the candidate to the occasional event. Wanted: Experienced Drupaller, preferably with some background in CiviCRM, who is enthusiastic about democratic reform and wants to help the 2009 BC Referendum on STV (the Single Transferable Vote) pass.

Fair Voting BC is taking the lead on advocacy for this referendum and we are basing our website on Drupal and CiviCRM. We would like to make sure that our website starts out and remains reliable throughout the campaign (the referendum date is May 2009).

My friend whurley has launched an online poll to bring open source to the attention of politicians -- specifically, the presidential candidates. He, like many of us, is troubled by the recent calls for patent reform put forth by larger companies that may wind up blocking innovation and threatening open source-oriented companies and contractors.

You can view the poll here and vote for which candidate you believe is best for the open source community. (Don't worry: "None of them" is an option!)

We at Scoop08 are looking immediately for an experienced Drupal developer to conduct a week's worth of theming as we prepare to unveil the fully functional version of our site. We're a national, not-for-profit student newspaper focused on the 2008 presidential race and all of the personalities and issues surrounding it. The project has already garnered local and national press, and should get more across the country by the end of the summer.
