We had a great impromptu meet up at Smith's Pub last night. First verdict is that Smith's Pub has great food (deluxe mini lamb burger's for $2 each during happy hour, complete with brie and spring greens) and a great beer selection. Unfortunately they were out of Howe Sound Hang Dog Hefeweizen in the 1L bottles, so I had to make do with some Belgium and Dutch beers that were there.

Other merry makers included:

Kris and I are hopping across the strait to Victoria for some meetings, and were wondering if some folks want to join us tonight (Thursday, July 19th) for a pint. We'll be at Smith's Pub from 7:30pm onwards or so.

Totally casual, just talking about life, the universe, and Internets.

We are keen to host another meetup of Drupalites at our office again.

Let's get together. This is a new group, and we don't know who we are, so let's get together and talk about Drupal. I suggest we hold our first meeting in Victoria, since that provides the best opportunity for the fewest people to travel to the meeting. I hope future meetings can be held in other strategic and beautiful locations on Vancouver Island, with an annual meeting at Tofino.

The purpose of the meeting will be to meet and greet, network, learn, share ideas and approaches, etc.
