I don't post much, but attend the nyc meetups regularly except for the past 2 months since I was busy renovating our new repair shop.

I am a beginner and I wanted to get some training in intermediate to advanced php and beginning drupal in NY.

Can anyone recommend a good institute? I am not looking for online training, something in person.

Hello NYC! Greetings.

On March 25th I will be in your lovely city for about a week and I would love to meet some of you, or to visit with any local Drupal agencies in the city. Currently I live in Portland OR and my clients are National and Global.

I am a noob. Are there any other graphic design-trained drupal newbies coming? If so, can we group up and learn Drupal together? I like making new friends. :)

I spoke with a lot of people lately who were interested in talking about this topic, so I would like to get a BoF going where we can all share our experiences with estimating project durations. It would be nice to hear from people who work with a company and those who are freelancers as well, to get a feel for what's common and what's not when getting a proposal together.

COD stands for Conference Organizing Distribution and the goal of the project is to facilitate coordination of and participation in conferences via the conference website. COD can improve the efficiency of setting up a powerful website for both Drupal and non-Drupal conferences and events and provide value to non-developers and developers alike.

Brief description:
Drupal 7 is right around the corner and you need to be prepared. In this session we'll take a look at the new features of Drupal 7 and how that are going to make your life easier. We will walk through the new installation process and explore Drupal 7 from a newcomer's perspective but also compare and contrast it with Drupal 6 and the former contributed module that made it into core.
