Hello,

I need help reorganizing the content layout of my website. Looking for someone good working knowledge of the following modules on a 5.7 installation: Views, Panels 2, Aggregator, and possibly Contemplate and Gmaps. From what I can tell, the Gmaps module isn't as good on 5.x as it was on 4.x, but please advise.

I prefer someone who is local to Portland and need someone who is available immediately.

DrupalCampPDX Thanks For Coming

I just wanted to say thank you for coming to DrupalCampPDX, thank you to all of the presenters and volunteers. Today I talked to the PSBA and they were happy how clean everything was left. They told me (neutralSpace) that we are welcome to host other events here in the future. With that being said if we are interested in finding a new location I could work with the PSBA to host our monthly meetings.

Thanks

Kerry

With everyone worn out from DrupalCampPDX we're going to skip the May meeting and regroup in June. I've been discussing a possible move to a new location but we'll keep the current time. I'll post more details when they're firmed up.

DrupalCampPDX 2008 Volunteers Needed

The big day is almost here and last I checked, after cleaning up our database, there is just one spot left. To think I thought a cap might not needed and that at most we'd get 50 or 60. Amazing!

Anyway, WE NEED HELP. As you know this is all run by volunteers and we will need more volunteers on the day, to do the following:

  1. Set-up on Friday night
  2. Watching the front door (it is a locked door) in 1-hour shifts all day
  3. Working the registration desk (check if registered, then give nametag) in 1-hour shifts all day
  4. Cleanup and tear-down Saturday evening.

All help greatly appreciated and very much needed. Please reply here to volunteer for anything, no matter if it's just and hour or two. It is all going to be a huge help. Be sure to tell me if your user name here matches your user name for DrupalCampPDX 2008. Also, please mention the areas you can help with (specify number/s) and for how many hours. Or alternatively, I can give you access to our volunteer Google doc (you may need a Google email) and you can fill in what you want to help with.

Hi all. See the full version (click on "Read more") of this discussion for the planned program for our upcoming DrupalCampPDX. Comments and suggestions welcome. Those of you who volunteered for program please let us know ASAP if there are any issues with time slots. We tried to keep everyone who volunteered involved (please let me know if we missed you) and we tried to ensure that programming items on at the same time would overlap in interest as little as possible. However, we had 22 programming items for 10 slots and had to merge several items. Again, please let us know if our decisions trouble you. Also reply here if you want to change the wording for your panel or such.

Note that we are keeping most of the evening and one room open all day for traditional Camp-style programming and socializing. There are also a couple of other places where socializing can occur, most notably some picnic-stle tables just outside the conference center. With plenty to eat and drink we hope that this event will be useful in every way possible. Click on "Read more" to see Program.

We want as many of you as possible to participate in programming so please join the fun. A mix of knowlwdge and perspective adds value to programming.

Please remember that if you would like to be a part of formal programming then you need to update the DrupalCampPDX wiki before tomorrow night is over. Remember to add your names to existing items if you would like to be part of a panel discussion on that subject. We still need need more "lightening" programming items, though we will also have sign-up for these and other BarCamp style items at con.

Also, if you have already signed up and your talk/panel will NOT be an hour long, please mark it with your estimated time.

Thanks all,
Grant

State of DrupalCampPDX programming

grantkruger - Thu, 2008-03-27 05:47

So our DrupalCampPDX committee met tonight and many things were discussed. Many plans were made and many beers were drunk. Others will post soon enough I'm sure, but here's two IMPORTANT PROGRAMMING ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  1. If you would like to be a part of formal programming then you need to update the DrupalCampPDX wiki as soon as possible. We have to finalize our programming lineup soon, so we will be freezing the programming wiki in a week (Wednesday 2nd April). Thereafter we aim to present a tentative schedule to the next Monthly meeting one week later. Remember to add your names to existing items if you would like to be part of a panel discussion. We still need need more "lightening" programming items, though we will also have sign-up for these and other BarCamp style items at con.
  2. Those of you who have already volunteered programming items, we need you to edit the wiki and add an estimate of how long you think you need (30 mins, 45 mins, 60 mins, 75 mins or 90 mins). Better we don't have to guess ;).

Programming suggestions are still very welcome. You are all the ones setting the agenda. The evening will have casual discussions and ideas for programming are welcome. Anyone want to run werewolf or something like it? Other ideas?

Some other programming and related notes (subject to change):
