Hi, I'm setting up a community driven site, where many of the events are managed by the community members, including registration. So, just to simplify the idea, every time a user registers an account in the site, a poll is created and members vote to approve or decline the application. Currently application form is no more than a set of cck fields in a specific content type. This node is created in the "applications forum", so members can cast their votes.

Now, the question is, should this kind of functionality require a single module or not?

I've found several approaches here..

Requirements: Responsibilities:
* Perform hands on development and maintenance of multiple web sites, mini sites, and landing pages, including multi-lingual and international sites
* Strong PHP (4+ years minimum) and mySQL skills are a must
* Work with multi-domain Wordpress installation of highly customized modules
* Create clean, maintainable and well-documented scripts
* Apply proven methodologies and best practices
* Thoroughly examine, plan and test implementations
* Resolve and automate business needs through live-data reporting applications and Cron jobs

General guidelines

Creating a new proposal for the Knight Drupal Initiative is the first step in a larger grant process. Proposals that are supported by the Drupal community will be sent to Knight Foundation for formal review prior to funding. Applications sent to Knight Foundation may require additional information.
