Amnesty International harnesses the web for human rights (MEDIA RELEASE)
Amnesty International, the world’s largest human rights organisation, has proudly launched its new Aotearoa New Zealand website at amnesty.org.nz. A fresh lick of paint and a range of new features have made the website easier for everyday New Zealanders to learn about, and take action for, human rights.
As well as dramatic improvements to the website’s design, navigation and accessibility, new features include an RSS feed for all news items; interactive online poll; animated feature-story panel; and quick access links to some of the more popular social networking sites.
Developer | RH Reality Check (A Project of the United Nations Foundation)
RHRealityCheck.org, an award-winning and growing online publication and community for progressive reproductive health and rights news and commentary, is seeking an experienced free lance Drupal developer to assist with two big development projects for 25-30 hours a week over the next nine months. Our small team telecommutes and is based all over the country. I, Brady Swenson, the project's New Media Director, am based in Lawrence, KS and so am seeking someone in the Lawrence / Kansas City area so that we may work together in person from time to time.
Drupal Redesign Code Sprint
I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in having a Drupal redesign code sprint. We were talking about doing code sprints at the last cape town meetup so perhaps we can do something like this.
Site relaunch: looking for feedback
Hey everybody, I've recently relaunched my company website, and I'd like to get some feedback on the look and feel. I'm working on a case study for drupal.org on it right now, and I'd like it to be as good as possible before unveiling to a larger audience. Any feedback would be welcome.
what links would *you* put in the 'Develop with Drupal' section on the homepage?
on the current homepage (http://drupal.markboultondesign.com/iteration8/homepage_notloggedin.html) there is a section called 'Develop with Drupal'. This section is targeted at 'outsiders' (those not v familiar with Drupal) who are developers. These people will be evaluating Drupal from more of a technical perspective so we want to point some signposts in here that will take them to content that will impress them and make them excited about the opportunity and potential of using Drupal.
Here are the links that are currently included in this section:

Help answer some quick questions?
hi there
as we go through this redesign process we occasionally come across stuff we're not 100% clear on.
I thought, if it's ok with you, that we'd add any questions we had here and if you have a moment to help answer them, you could?
(hoping this is fairly rapid response without being too noisy)
sound ok?
ok. here's the first question I've got for you.
I'm looking at the Drupal Project Download page (http://drupal.org/project/Drupal+project) although it could be any download page I think. One of the columns in the table says 'date'.
Freelancer/Conctract | Namibia4U

Updated Redesign Schedule
As I mentioned in my recap blog post, the redesign is few weeks off the original schedule, but all-in all not to much.
Here's an update of what's to come:
November 7-9 - community feedback on prototype iteration 7 and design iteration 3
November 14-16 - community feedback on prototype iteration 8 (final review) and design iteration 4
November 21-23 - community feedback on design iteration 5 (final review)
After that last round of feedback, MBD will work on refining and finalizing the copy, design and brand style guide for final delivery on December 5.
My vision for Drupal.org's project pages
I took some time today to draw up my vision for the project pages..
It's a mix of my current work, some future plans, and some ideas I had for harnessing Drupal.org's data. More details over here.
So, what do you think?
Redesign Schedule: Feedback/Involvement for initial research and branding
Hi All,
Today is the first in our scheduled dates to ask you for your feedback (if you haven't done already). There are two areas of work done to date that we need your help on:
- Initial Research
Leisa has been doing some fantastic work on trying to get to know you, the wider Drupal community, and what does d.o mean to you?
Leisa has been openly blogging the process for a while now, but we're still gathering comments and suggestions. This is a pretty fluid process.
a) the experience strategy for drupal.org, (http://www.disambiguity.com/draft-drupalorg-experience-strategy/),
b) proposed audience segmentation for drupal.org (http://www.disambiguity.com/insiders-and-outsiders/) and
c) initial wireframe ideas for drupal.org (http://www.disambiguity.com/drupalorg-come-wireframe-with-me/)
In addition to these posts, please browse around the Flickr group (http://flickr.com/groups/drupalredesign/), follow the Twitter group (http://twitter.com/drupalredesign)
- Initial Branding
For a bit of back story as to why Drupal needs to change its logo, please read this post from Larry.
The latest round of logotypes are attached here. For more rationale on how we got to this point, please have a look at:
a) What's in a Word(mark)? (http://www.markboultondesign.com/news/detail/whats_in_a_wordmark/),
b) Initial Wordmark designs (http://www.markboultondesign.com/news/detail/initial_wordmark_designs/)
c) Why do we need a new logo anyway? (http://www.markboultondesign.com/news/detail/why_do_we_need_a_new_logo_a...), and
d) Cap D or Not? Splash or Not? (http://www.markboultondesign.com/news/detail/cap_d_or_not_splash_or_not/)
