Project Description:
This team will be responsible for building and designing an open source intranet, based off of a LAMP stack, surrounding all of the company's internal communication. Candidate will be responsible for designing the intranet to include all relevant company information into the site. The intranet caters to all 85,000 company employees worldwide and therefore brings a lot of visibility to this team.

Seek a full-time PHP / Drupal Programmer to be the lead programmer for the Marketing Department.

Deep understanding of PHP and Drupal
Proven ability to develop, create and update Drupal 6 theme templates
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript
MySQL knowledge
Experience with CCK and Views modules
Experience using taxonomies for categorization
Experience with installation and use of Drupal wysiwyg editors
Extensive jQuery and AJAX experience
Intense attention to detail
Modules (use and modification to suit)
Menus
Nodes
Administration (including roles and permissions)
Security

Doug Vann here. I head up the Indiana group at groups.drupal.org/indiana Myself and 6 of our group just had a blast over at the www.drupalcampchicago.org While there the topic was raised that the midwest Drupalers need to unite and work together.
I'd like to check out one of your meetings maybe in December or January. The megabus.com can get me there non-stop round trip for anywhere from $3 to $20 depending on how early I book it. I could see who in our group would like to join me.

Are there people still interested in a Central IL DUG meet up in Peoria this month? It would need to be near the end of this month (After DrupalCampWI, at least) but I can arrange for a room at Bradley University if there's interest.

Steven Merrill and I were thinking that beyond just socializing we could cover more in-depth on the talk we're giving at DrupalCampWI about Druplash and Druplex (Drupal-powered Flash and Flex). Post back here with preferred times/dates and anything specific you want to hear about (or better yet, talk about).

Video games are also always an option.

If anyone is interested or knows anyone who might be interested, I'm trying to get a downstate user group going. It's the Central Illinois User Group at http://groups.drupal.org/central-illinois-drupal-users.

I'm still interested supporting or working together on Chicago events, too, if something more than a one hour meeting is going on. It's a bit too much to drive 2-3 hours each way for a one hour meeting :)

Don't know how many, if any, Drupal users there are downstate, but we'll see what happens :)

Welcome! I'm KarenS and I maintain a few Drupal modules, like CCK, Date, and Calendar. I'm hoping to find other Drupallers in the Central Illinois area who'd like to get together from time to time to talk Drupal. We have lots of universities in this region, so it would be great to get them involved and help develop more Drupal developers. I also hope we can put together some public events to introduce people to Drupal.
