Using Kaltura as a backend for PEG stations
I've been doing some work recently with the Miro Community software. It creates a community video website which can center around a geographic location or topic. It is very awesome. I have begun pulling video from PEG TV stations and got off the ground pretty quickly (see ACMNE.mirocommunity.org .)
Screencasts for PEG Access Drupal newbies
I am looking to help try and do a few tutorials or screencasts for administrators in PEG Access community who have Drupal sites. I am trying to cater these types of tutorials to Drupal sites that might have 1-3 contributors in addition to a site admin. I don't expect the admin to have knowledge of php. This is more just about - let's get a site up and running. These screencastst should be very basic. I also will pull from existing screencasts so I am not reinventing the wheel. Do you have any suggestions?

ideas for the 2009 ACM conference in Portland
Do you have any ideas for how work being done between the Drupal community and the PEG TV community should be handled at the 2009 Alliance for Community Media Conference in Portland, OR in July? Any ideas of how it should NOT be handled? A workshop panel, a working session, an Open Media Update? Should we focus on "how to" or "what's new"? Should the focus be more on the Open Source model? Questions, questions.......
Leveraging Theming
Imagine there is the potential to put some resources into an "Access" theme. What sorts of considerations, ideas, caveats cross your mind? OMP has enough on the plate but John suggested I cross post to here and PEGspace.
creating a PEG specific regional database
I might be in a position to initiate a regional database for PEG Access stations in my neck of the woods. Given the work that is being with CiviCRM, Mapping Access, and the KDI PEG work - does anyone have any suggestions on how to approach this task using Drupal tools? What questions do you think I should be asking myself at the outset to get the most out of this project? What is the most effective use of Drupal/CiviCRM in this instance? Can it be done on the cheap as a single person project? What does it sound like to you?

distinguishing characteristics of a community media center
Much like living organisms are classified into groups (say, spiders) where many individual species (say, daddy long legs, black widow, tarantula) exist, we still have some distinguishing characteristics (eight legs, no wings) which separate it from other similar living organisms (say, bees).
I'd like to hear about what you would define as the distinguishing characteristics of a community media organization.
some feedback on Drupal and Cable Access Televison
I recently gave a talk at a conference for folks in community cable access television about migrating their sites to content managements systems. I put lots of emphasis on Drupal. It was terrific to demo Burlington Vermont's new Drupal site (www.cctv.org) and Denver's, too (http://www.denveropenmedia.org/).
Here are the notes

I got some feedback that I thought I would share as a way to keep the KDI/pegspace beach ball up in the air.
PEGspace at Drupalcon 2008 -- audio file & meeting minutes

-----
This is the breakout discussion held during the Drupalcon 2008 Boston conference on March 5, 2008. This discussion tracks the progress of a number of concurrent Drupal development projects focusing on enabling PEG (public, educational and government) Access centers to utilize Drupal for their organization.
The video was not so good, so we just have the audio. Below are some notes from the conversation. Hopefully, this provides some context, history and direction for those in the Access community who are wondering what Drupal is, why it is something they should care about and also for those in the Drupal community who would like to know about a very exciting project. Please add, clarify or correct.
