Node import

I'm trying to import some 'project' content into Drupal using Node Import. I have about 3,000 projects that need to be added as om_project content types, and this was the method described by Kevin to get it done.

Overview: The Unified CMS Import Module (UCIM) should allow users to import content from several different content management systems for use within Drupal. This should include importing from WordPress, Joomla, Mambo and Moveable Type.

We need an XML product feed converted into Drupal nodes. Each XML item will become a node. Some fields would be converted to taxonomy terms. Other fields will be CCK items.

It's XML, but not RSS/Atom.

Prefer someone near Western Mass or Boston area.

A new website will help Seattle startups find worksites for rent or lease. Initially, worksite information will be bulk entered with a customized Node Import module. One data import field will be email. A module modification is needed to assign UID with an email lookup. If a UID is not found, a stub user account automatically would be created as node owner. Once a worksite node is imported, an anonymous user, who owns the associated email, could claim ownership with a request for new password.
