Hi, I've just set up a couple of views for different users and roles. A couple of them are for CMs only but anonymous users are getting access. Has anyone encountered this before? We've got the particular roles set on the view/edit
Drupal 5.2... Node_access module.

Thanks!

Hi, can I add any custom functions to a module or, do they need to be registered in the menu system? I have some lookup routines that work fine for admin but are not called for anonymous users. I tried using the _underscore naming and that didn't allow them. template.php is in a different scope or something, nothing from there... Should they get added as menu_tasks? Thanks for any help

Request For Comment(RFC): User Reports Module

I'm excited about building a module that, if designed properly, would useful to others. I see how it might be useful for the development of a human resources department for personnel reviews and really any place where reports or static documents pass from one party to another.

I am building a community site based around an organization. We produce custom reports for many of the community members and provide them through a very simple and custom php app on our website. I want to move this to drupal to take advantage of the other powers to build community, as well as flexibility to improve access to these reports for archive purposes.

This has been floating around in my head for several months, but I've not developed a drupal module before so I crave review, comment and even participation.

Authors Role

I am still working on my directory http://justkansas.com.

I have used CCK to create the content type that is listed in the directory. I have a few fields that I would like to make available for paying memberships. I know that we can control the access to CCK fields by roles. But I am looking for a way to theme a node's display according to the author's role.

IF author role=role1 then use this code with all field entries displayed
IF author role=role2 then use this code without a certain field

Is there a known-solution or known-theories for giving users access to change only one story? This would be a way to allow businesses in my directory to update the listings, once I 'prime' them with some sort of startup content.

Example:
I would love to give a login/password to the owner of Drawing Board, so s/he could edit this listing I started for them. They are a lot more artistic than I am, but obviously, I cannot have them touching anything except this one story.

Audio Uploads: User vs. Admin

I posted this in the main drupal forum but I thought it would be better to repost it here since the right people can see it easier(and hopefully answer):
http://drupal.org/node/69399

Can anyone help clarify for me how this system would work? I'm basically looking to make a site where I control the main audio content but also allow users to upload remixes of that music with size restrictions. I tried a goofy thing where I took the Audio module and I renamed it and it's sister files to audio_user and uploaded it but Drupal is too smart to allow a duplicate module to sit next to the original right.
