Well priced training 6mnths-year
Hi South Africa,
I have a question, does anyone know of any companies that are offering a mixed bag of training options that would fit in well with someone going the php opensource direction of web design, something that will be well rounded, basic to advanced and not prohibitively expensive. well rounded being the operative word.
Drupal Developer | New Startup Company
Hi,
I'm looking for a Drupal Developer who is located in Calgary. We are a startup company and have multiple websites that we would like to build.
The mockup design is already done for one of the sites available in psd.
The developer needs to be comfortable with custom Drupal theming, php, mysql, and maybe some custom modules.
The websites needs to be SEO friendly.
You will need to convert a themes from the mockups they need to support various browsers such as IE6 and 7 and FF.
Please email your resume to pimpedlude@hotmail.com.
For best performance: HTML Table or CSS?
I managed to get Drupal 6.9 running on my site (hooray) and am now looking at constructing a theme.
The basic design spec for the theme calls for 21 cells of identical height and width, floating in three equally-spaced columns having a total width of 800 pixels.
Drupal gives me the choice of defining the basic layout with either a cascading style sheet (CSS) or an HTML table.
My big question relates to the performance of a template using an HTML Table vs. a CSS:
(1) Will Drupal serve a page faster with a layout having a CSS design, or with an HTML Table design?
CSS layouts and Drupal
This is simple query to the group. I am going to go check out the forums as well.
I am not a ninja themer. But I am not a newbie either. I've done about 4 themes for drupal now. All have been variations of existing themes.
My questions have to do wth table-based vs liquid lay-outs.
1/ What do people recommend as a framework for building liquid lay-outs? I have tried doing up my own version of the ALA holy grail thingme, and I have tried modifying the civicspace theme, and in neither case have I enjoyed the process. Are there her techniques that don't require such wholesale manipulation of the browser-space?
