Allow users to rate environmental factors for their automatically geocoded location
My objective is to create a site that would allow people to rate the environmental factors of their immediate physical space.

Geo June - Participate!
Help move Drupal a crucial step closer to being a true Geospatial CMS!
The Drupal community and the Twin Cities Drupal Group invites us all for Geo June, a month-long series of events and collaborative projects. There will be coding, documenting and demonstrating solutions for data collection and mapping.
You can join in the fun by helping the issue queue for Geo and related modules, or by participating in other ways:
Announcing Geo June
Hi everyone!
At DrupalCON DC, we demoed some of the work we've been doing on Geo and related modules. We'd like to get these modules to a stable and dependable state so that other mapping solutions, such as GMAP and Openlayers can also be stable and well-supported.
Mapping Implementation Options
Hi everyone,
I'm creating a new website aimed at listing local advertising options for small business owners. Below, I'll give a synopsis of my intended site (mapping) features, the core drupal mapping functions that I believe I'll need, and my implementation options as I see them.
My 2 questions are:
1) Am I missing anything? (Are there any core mapping functions or implementation options that I haven't thought about or that I'm just plain wrong about?)
Geo GUI Module: Using OpenLayers to input WKT
Hi Everyone,
I've developed a module called Geo GUI (http://drupal.org/project/geo_gui). You can download from csv from /contributions/modules/geo_gui.
It uses OpenLayers so that you can draw on a map for inputting polygon, line, and point information in the geo CCK fields. So instead of using WKT to input complex geometries, we can simply draw.
I would love some feedback!
Geonames CCK and Geomap
Someone out there may be interested in the modules I have just released.

am looking for a drupal developer to work on social networking project centered on geo-spatial and interest data. I broke-down the project in several phases, phases 1 being very basic. So if you agree with this approach and you are an expert with drupal, php, google map's api, the gmap module, the categories module (CCK) and how it can apply to profiles, please do read on. Lastly, it would help tremendously if you would share with me any implementation examples similar to the specs below.
So here's a preview of the high-level functionality I need developed/implemented for Phase 1:

microformat for location.module
I asked myself how we could use Microformats in the location module.
this is the patch which came out: Using Microformat for address output
comments and suggestions are welcome :)
Drupal KML module
I've been dabbling in getting a kml module together for Drupal for a while and have recently got it to a state where it's useful out of the box and still has good potential for future development.
The Drupal KML module currently lets you add a 'KML' link to the bottom of all location-enabled nodes (requires location.module), which then fires up Google Earth for you. The single node KML link is the most obvious functionality in the module, but it also allows you to view all nodes, or all nodes tagged with a certain term. There is functionality also to create network links for any of these feeds, giving you a continually up-to-date set of nodes from your site in Google Earth.
