Aegir 0.3RC4 released
We're proud to announce the fourth release candidate of the 0.3 branch of the Aegir hosting system for Drupal.
Ægir is a set of contributed modules for Drupal that aims to solve the problem of managing a large number of Drupal sites. It does this by providing you with a simple Drupal based hosting front end for your entire network of sites. To deploy a new site you simply have to create a new Site node. To backup or upgrade sites, you simply manage your site nodes as you would any other node.
This is the fourth release candidate of the 0.3 branch. This release is a maintenance release and the only project goal is the porting of Aegir 0.2 to Drupal 6. As such the code base is already feature complete and only bug fixes will be accepted before the final release is made.
Fixes in this release include :
- fix lots of documentation: [#553230], [#553202], [#550352]
- fix tasks permission: [#535562]
- fix install_profile_api dependency: [#550696], [#545168]
- fix add site tab in client form [#525676]
Quiz 3.0 Beta 1 is released
The last critical bug against Quiz has been resolved, so we have gone from Alpha into Beta.
Roadmap:
Beta will be released as soon as we deem it stable enough for production use. Please test.
No new features will be added to Beta (unless adding them resolves bugs). All new features will go into Quiz 4, which will be branched in CVS soon.
Quiz 3.0 Alpha 2 is released
In this version:
Two new question types have been added: matching and short answer.
The Question Import module now (at least partially) supports QTI 1.2, though it requires QueryPath to do this.
Lots of bugs have been fixed. And I know I am forgetting some of the other new features.
One bug is still giving us grief, and is holding back a beta release: http://drupal.org/node/344926
Please provide feedback on the matching and short answer implementations.
Quiz 3.0 Alpha 1 is released
Quiz 3.0 Alpha 1 has been released.
Take a close look at the Release Notes before installing. If you are a -dev user, you will need to remove the pre-alpha version, since the modules were (finally) moved into sub directories.
There are a few major bugs that will prevent Quiz from going on into Beta. Both are mentioned in the release notes.

Security, this unknown
Hey all,
I have some questions about how security vulnerabilities are researched inside the classic Drupal development plan and about where are we and where are we going, about security obviously. That's because I noticed that if someone wanna help testing Drupal for security vulnerabilities, he founds a very low number of informations, that means:
- no idea about what's already tested
- no idea about what could be useful to do
Some things obviously needs to be secret, but this level of secrecy is maybe too much.
Aegir 0.1 released.
We're proud to announce the first release of the Aegir hosting system for Drupal.

Ægir is a new set of contributed modules for Drupal that aims to solve the problem of managing a large number of Drupal sites. It does this by providing you with a simple Drupal based hosting front end for your entire network of sites. To deploy a new site you simply have to create a new Site node. To backup or upgrade sites, you simply manage your site nodes as you would any other node.
This release is feature complete with the main roadmap of Aegir. It will allow you to install, back up, restore, enable, disable and delete your hosted sites. We were originally considering releasing an extra release candidate to make sure the first release was really rock solid, but since 0.2 (HEAD) progressed so quickly, we are now shortening the release cycle. We therefore want to shorten the release cycle to get more features out and favour greater adoption.
e-Commerce v4.x-beta4 for Drupal 6.x has been released.
Hi,
We have been putting in a lot of work into e-Commerce since beta3 has been released and today I finished updating checkout to be fully functional.
e-Commerce v4.x-beta3 for Drupal 6.x has been released.
There have been a lot of bug fixes as well as the a complete rewrite of the checkout. The checkout ATM is only a single page and options like changing address and payment type have not been put back in. These are going to use the #ahah feature of the new formapi to allow users to change much easier. I am going to put back multi page checkouts, but this will be done by configuration and not be forced on the site admin.
The checkout api has completely changed and is now much more modular and should allow for much better formed functions.
Quiz 6.x 2.0 RC 1 is ready
A release candidate for Drupal 6 is now ready.
This marks the end of all new development for Quiz 6.x-2.0. Only bug fixing will happen on the release candidates and further releases.
Why two releases in one day? I thought the last bug might be difficult to find and fix. Turned out to be a two-line fix. Sorry for any inconvenience the rapid upgrades caused.
Quo Vadis?
Where are we going from here?
- If no bugs are filed against RC1... it will be re-released as Quiz 6.x-2.0.
