Genos International (www.genosinternational.com) is looking for a Drupal Guru to assist with the following:

• SEO and general clean-up of our [D6] corporate web site (there are a couple of pages which, despite our best efforts, still bomb out with IE6)
• Improvement of members-only area (aka "Genos Resource Portal"), eg. better search options, prettier UI
• Implementation of functionality to allow non-technical types to add events, have those events be automatically displayed on the events page and to have them automatically disappear once they have occurred
• Implementation of attachments search module
• Implementation of global locations functionality (map of world is displayed and a country is clicked on, a list of Genos resellers is presented - we currently have a version in Flash but would prefer it in Javascript and to not have the reseller details hard-coded)
• Various other improvements that I'm sure will occur to us over the next few weeks. :-)

Whilst a fair degree of telecommuting would be permitted, a reasonable amount of face-to-face time will be necessary, especially at the start, hence it would preferable (for both parties, I'm sure) to be located nearby (Genos is situated in Waterloo, which is a few kms from the Sydney CBD).

Contract duration and rates are negotiable.

We are a not for profit organisation with a newly developed drupal website. The new website requires some amendments. We are looking for someone Sydney based with previous drupal experience who is also proficient in PHP as we have two large databases attached to the website.

Announcing the 2009 Drupal Day Sydney! It will be taking place on Saturday, October 31st from 9am - 6pm at the University of Sydney's School of Pharmacy.

Bring your laptop! This will be a hands-on workshop and a facilitated code sprint, ideal for both beginners and advanced attendees. Some of your favorite, dedicated, Sydney Drupal developers will be joining us so don't miss out! Places are limited (Only 45), so sign up now!

Thanks to everyone that showed up last month. I think we had a really productive meetup. We'll meetup at our regularly scheduled day (3rd thursday of the month) again - Thursday, November 19th.

This month we'll be making some of the adjustments that we discussed to encourage some more support and social discussion. Remember to bring your laptops and your support questions or discussion topics.

• Full-time, permanent position in our Silverwater office (Homebush area), Sydney
• Working in team with 2 Drupal Developers and 2 Web Designers, your duty will be to customise look and feel of our Drupal websites. Developers will work on the code, designers on look and you on the merging it together into one flawless website.
• All websites are in-house, there is no external clients. No stress in dealing with small clients. Just big community websites. Over 650,000 visitors at the moment. And more coming every day.

The announcement is a bit delayed, but we continue to have our regular meetup on the 3rd thursday of each month.

This month's meetup will be Thursday, October 15th.

Unfortunately last month the ABC had to close because of a fire drill, but there was a social meetup that went quite well. I am trying to reconfirm that we can still use the ABC this month for our normal set of presentations and support sessions, otherwise we will hold another social meetup.

Hi Guys,

Unfortunately the ABC Ultimo centre have been having issues with their fire alarm system. Building management have advised that all non-essential business must cease by 6pm, meaning that tonights planned meetup won't go ahead.

I have tried to contact Ryan, but am having difficulties getting though to him. Ideally he will send a mailout to everyone who has signed up.

Others may like to meetup at a pub/restaurant somewhere? If you plan on doing that, perhaps you could post to the group page (which seems to be down at the moment).

• Other web design tasks will be required too, as occasionally design of banners or newsletter

• You will build and implement modules and our network system. All Drupal 6, all new code. No fixing of old code, no external clients, no small one-off brochure type websites.

• All equipment and tools of trade supplied (of course)
