We are currently developing "Equality Central" with the goal of establishing a clearinghouse for all events, organizations, campaigns, resources for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) equal rights and justice movement. We have "buy-in" from major grassroots organizations in California and have built a beta website. We need Drupal developers and designers who can help develop the website. We are focusing on California, but this could become the national, grassroots hub for LGBTQ activism.

The entire environmental movement has been but a dress rehearsal for the fight against climate change. In December 2009 the most important boring meeting in history will take place. Governments will convene in Copenhagen to decide the steps that they will take globally to address climate change and with this they will decide all our futures.

Greenpeace aims to mobilise New Zealanders to ensure our representatives hear the voices of their constituency and make the right commitments to protect our fragile planet. With your help we will develop an extraordinary web platform on which this mobilisation will manifest.

We are seeking volunteers to help design, develop and contribute content to a new online community - OneWorldWiki. People at any skill level or interest in Drupal are welcome - designers, developers, themers, or simply people who want to make a difference.

The "wiki" in OneWorldWiki means mass collaboration. Originally, we started using Mediawiki but found it too limiting so we're now using the wonderful world of Drupal.

We're aiming to create a Palestine Activist Community site, which would bring together campaigning and awareness raising efforts across the world.

It's a completely volunteer project at this stage but it would be great if there are any Drupallers out there who would like to get involved.

The World Bank is increasingly relying on drupal and we are looking for a full time (contractor) lead developer to join our team. We are the ones who commissioned, tweaked and released the BuzzMonitor to help organizations better engage in social media (so far downloaded over 3,000 times) and have a number of projects in the pipeline that involve both "traditional" use of drupal but also some module development. From using drupal as our corporate blogging platform to doing some interesting in API / data visualization work and adding features to the BuzzMonitor, I'd say it's a fun job.

Hello fellow central Ohio drupal people. We are working on improving the Columbus Indymedia site which uses Drupal.
Indymedia is a global network of independent journalists that work together to provide people with access to the tools of the media.

The site we have set-up is using Drupal but there is some migration that could be done in terms of altering the workflow of items.
We hold to a standard of open publishing which allows anyone to post news but a lot of times its just people posting news articles from mainstream newspapers and we'd like to
have a way to be more of an almanac so that people can contribute facts/links and pieces to build stories vs. just writing articles and uploading images. The taxonomy and categorization of the site could use some help.
