Let's create a listing of as many possible websites where Drupal is used in the academic and research context:
Associations, groups, theme resources
- http://cadaad.org
- http://praguelinguistics.org
- http://cogling.info
- http://childrenasdecisionmakers.org
- http://www.ffm-pflegemanagement.de

Personal websites of academics
Education and Training: A Drupal Learning Track
[This is a wiki - please don't hesitate to update, revise, and contribute your ideas!]
Goals and Objectives
- Develop an open training and certification program;
- Create a more effective platform to provide free online training, mentoring, and a showcase for Drupal;
- Discover and recruit new talent;
- Help end-users to evaluate a specialist by providing standard "levels of expertise";
- Reach out to make new audiences aware of Drupal who might not be currently aware;
- Attract peripheral Drupal types to become more closely involved and active;
Modules useful on academic sites
Let's make a list of modules that are useful for academic and research sites. Maybe we can slowly accumulate info on how they can be used.
Modules specific to the academic world
- Biblio (where all this started)
- OAI-PMH (for exposing the biblio nodes as metadata; http://drupal.org/project/oai2)
- eJournal
- Conference
- Table of contents (nice for dealing with long, structured documents)
Research and academia showcase
Hello everyone, I thought it would be best to start with an overview of all the different academic and research sites where Drupal is either being used or is about to be used. Please, indicate in your post which modules you found essential to provide functionality specific to the academic/research needs of your site.
Note: If you have more than one site, please, add it into separate comments.
