The United Nations Millennium Campaign is seeking proposals for ongoing front-end design of their Drupal website at http://endpoverty2015.org. The site's backend (database, code, and navigational structure) are already in place as is a a basic theme and several node types. This work is specifically focused on theme creation and design for a few outstanding key landing pages and node types.

STAND UP Against Poverty was launched by the UN Millennium Campaign to mobilize people around the world to STAND UP Against Poverty and for the Millennium Development Goals. Six years ago, 189 world leaders sat down and agreed to eradicate extreme poverty and achieve the Millennium Development Goals by 2015. On October 15&16, people across the world will STAND UP to remind them of this promise and set a Guiness World Record for the most people to STAND UP for a cause.  Events range from a large concert in Rome, to STAND UP moments during Spanish football matches such as the FC Barcelona game, to impoverished women in Tanzania coming together.<br/>

The United Nations Millennium Campaign, a global campaign to end extreme poverty by 2015, will relaunch their website on Drupal in the coming weeks and months. The campaign chose Drupal based on the software's flexibility, scalability, active user community, and proven track-record in managing large sites among other reasons. The Millennium Campaign will use the new platform to give greater content control to partner organizations and encourage online participation and contributions by individuals interested in holding their governments to account on implementation of the Millennium Development Goals. The United Nations Development Programme, which manages the Millennium Campaign, joins other UN Departments like the World Food Program in adopting the Drupal platform as a strategic campaign tool promoting activism.
