Drupal Themes / PHP Developer Job Description

Orchestra is looking for someone to help out a growing consulting firm doing web development in Drupal. We have an immediate need for someone with an artistic flair and some themeing experience. This need is based upon a project that is kicking off this week, so it is important that there is already some underlying knowledge of the following:

• Drupal, and how to theme it
• PHP code and development practices - there isn't a lot of code in this project, but you'll need to understand how it works.
• CSS and website design principals

Hi everybody - just editing this post as I have received a lot of replies, and though I'm about to start contacting some of you, I'm still going to keep the posting up for a while. My original intention was to find someone within the GTA so that it would be possible to meet in person (hence the reason I posted only in the Toronto group), but as it appears there are few GTA-based Drupal developers, I will consider some of the replies I've received from outside of the city.

We have several Drupal jobs that should be starting within the next several weeks. Some of the jobs are local to Columbus, several are remote - all are in higher education. Our company specializes in delivering solutions to education clients and we're looking for resources that could augment our team - either as contract or part-time work to start, with the possibilty to grow to full-time staff.

The Oak Park Public Library is looking for someone with experience to help us implement a new teen site using Drupal 6. Currently we're working on a small portion of our public site (www.oppl.org), that dedicated to the teen audience. We need help to build out our site, polish the design, and get us ready for content building. We'd like to learn while working side-by-side with this person(s) so that we're prepared to manage the teen site and develop the rest of our website in Drupal. Need a (really) strong and efficient programmer to build me a site similar to metacritic.com in scope, look/feel and functionality but for hotels.

I'm looking for someone who can handle the full development of the website: Design, CSS/HTML, PHP and Drupal integration. Strong PHP skills are absolutely required.

At this stage, I'm more just concerned with having it built solidly and to spec - the design is secondary.

Freelance Drupal and graphics support needed for potential contract with a municipal government in Alberta.
Duties are likely to involved custom themes, work with user and content management, an In/Out system, visual redesign of site. There is a possibility of on-going freelance work into 2012.
