Social Workout Media is an eight month old start-up created by one of the two co-founders of successful design site ApartmentTherapy.com. Part blog, part exercise tracking utility, SocialWorkout.com is pioneering the intersection of the web with gym, yoga studio, and running path. Located in New York, global hub of health clubs (and yet death to all attempts at healthy living), we have strong financial backing, and are looking for versatile, talented web developer to join our small team.

• as we are non-profit, it’s not about the money, but as sponsors arrive, you will be paid for your job (in practice it means that presumably your job will be paid only some months after the system’s official launch)
• only committed and motivated people are welcome, with a long-term orientation (similar to our attitude)
• you should form a team, so you could divide up all the work to make it easier
• official start of mygbn.org: it depends on our negotiation (we would like to launch our system in 2009)

We are looking for a good web development team that can handle both development and design of the site. We wish to have site built on the Drupal 6 framework and to incorporate a clean easy to navigate design with a Web 2.0 feel. Site design should incorporate plenty of room for advertising space (banners, text ads, etc). We wish to implement site in three phases. Our website will consist of four primary areas: Information, Magazine, Community and Members Only.

Trellon is beginning work on a new book about building effective social networks and social media platforms using Drupal. We are looking for an organization that would be interesed in having us build out a social networking platform for them to build stronger relationships with their constituents. We operate a personals site with 150K+ members. The current backend is a custom-developed PHP / MySQL application that is not fit for our needs in terms of stability, performance and ability to add additional features. Budget $10k+

We are looking for an experienced Developer who is an expert in PHP, MySQL and Drupal to
(1) Duplicate the feature set of our existing site using Drupal
(2) Write custom modules for features that don't exist in the Drupal Core or a stable add-on module.
(3) Write a custom migration script to port member data and photos from old database

We have launched two social networks using Drupal (one is live and kicking...and one is already in beta) and are looking to expand our team to several more drupal developers who have experience working with Drupal social networks or social media sites. I am currently developing a passion project, which I've recently decided will be best implemented in Drupal. The project is an online social network (like facebook etc.), however designed especially for space enthusiasts, professionals and students. The most important feature will be support for projects, goals and tasks, and various other tools to enable members to complete real space missions through global collaboration. It will also incorporate a shop, information directory, and a virtual environment to allow exploration of the Moon and Mars and experimentation with base models.
