We are looking for someone who understands Drupal theming and can rapidly create new professional-looking designs to allow us to keep our many sites up to date and fresh. The candidate should have a mastery of visual design technologies and be able to quickly translate ideas into web designs.

The ideal candidate moves easily between Photoshop and standards compliant XHTML/CSS and is able to rapidly create designs that work identically between major browser versions. Some knowledge of PHP and JQuery is required and some experience with Drupal theming is strongly desired.

Request for Proposal Site Migration Jot to Drupal Scope Move existing Service Catalog Community www.servicecatalogs.com currently built on Jot platform (purchased by Google and called Google Sites) and move to new open source platform – Drupal, keeping as many of the current feature and functionality of the community intact.
Functional priorities of new platform
1. Ability to migrate existing community members seamlessly (without notification or creating new logins) to new platform.

The Public Press www.public-press.org is a concept for the next-generation daily newspaper. We're organizing a group of journalists, technologist and nonprofit managers to organize a new newsroom for the San Francisco Bay Area that would produce a Web site, daily print newspaper and collaborations with nonprofit news-gathering organizations locally and nationally. We've built a simple Drupal 6 site that we will be growing in the coming weeks and months, and we plan to start publishing on the Web using this platform.

I'm new to Drupal and am very interested in participating in a Drupal Users Group in Santa Clara. Are there other users who would be interested in meeting at the Mission City Roasting Company (or other location)?

I am really excited about the SF Group (thanks smokinggoat). I am going to try like heck to make it into the city. The biggest problem for me is that I live in the east bay... east of the east bay... a.k.a. the tri-valley (Dublin, Pleasanton, San Ramon, Livermore).

I was wondering if there were any Drupal-ers here in the tri-valley area that would be interested in getting together?
