Welcome to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Drupal Group. This is the place to get involved with the Drupal community in the Twin Cities. Whether you're not even sure how to pronounce the word "Drupal", you're a core contributor to the Drupal project or you're somewhere in between, there's something happening locally for you.
We have several regular meetings each month:
- The main Twin Cities Drupal User Group (TCDUG) meeting is conducted in a presenter or roundtable format, and is sponsored by Advantage Labs. TCDUG meetings are held the 4th Wednesday of every month at 7 PM.
- One hour before the TCDUG meeting -- 4th Wednesday of every month at 6PM -- join the Twin Cities Drupal Commerce and Ubercart group to discuss Drupal e-commerce best-practices.
Both meetings take place at:
Advantage Labs @ Intermedia Arts
2822 Lyndale Ave S
Minneapolis, MN 55408
mapThis is near the corner of Lake and Lyndale. There is parking in the lot to the right of the building (north side).
- If you'd prefer a more casual meetup, we have a longstanding Drupal Happy Hour on the 1st Thursday of the month starting at 5:30PM. We typically meet at The Blue Nile on East Franklin in Minneapolis. Look for the specific event announcement closer to the actual date each month for up to date details.
Catch us on IRC in #drupal-twin-cities on irc.freenode.net. Join us there to ask questions, propose ideas, socialize. Check out Drupal.org for more info about IRC and Drupal including how to start an account and connect. Or come to the next local meetup and someone can help you get started.

Group views displays (D6, V2)
Anyone have ideas on how to group displays within views? I have a view with 6 attachments. 4 out of the 6 are unrelated, but two are closely related. I want to contain them within a HTML container so they can be kept as a single block that does not break into two blocks when content to the left of them varies in length.
Here is an ascii picture of long content type A. Attachments B and C appear as one block in this instance:

And another ascii pic of a short content type A. Attachments B and C break apart from each other:

TC Drupal January meetup -- Wednesday January 23rd
Our January meetup is this Wednesday, January 23rd from 7-9PM. For this first TC Drupal general meetup of the year, we're looking at a smorgasbord agenda. It is shaping up to be a busy Drupal year internationally and also here in the Twin Cities. We'll set the stage for that -- outline upcoming activities and initiatives -- and also leave room for people to share (formally or informally). Join us to learn and talk about some or all of the following:
- DrupalCamp Twin Cities -- July 18-21 in Minneapolis (now being organized!)
- Nerdery Overnight Website Challenge Twin Cities -- in Minneapolis in March
- NTEN conference (with Drupal Day?) -- in Minneapolis in April
- Drupalcon North America -- in Portland, OR in May
- Drupal 8 progress and timeline -- local core Drupal issue coding group opportunities
- You! Share a site (case study of something you've launched or are working on), a module or theme you've discovered, a nagging question…
- Ideas and commitments for upcoming monthly meetups -- let's get a schedule for at least the next few months
- Beverages and pizza (of course)
- ???
If you have something you are willing to share at the meeting, please step up and let us know in a comment. It would be great to hear what we're all working on these days. We'll be in the theater and have excellent projection and seating to accommodate any level of sharing. Otherwise, just be there. We look forward to seeing everyone.

Change of Group Manager for Twin Cities Group
Hi -
I was the person who started this group initially. I live in Western Wisconsin and only occasionally get over to the cities for meetings. At the last meeting I went to Barry Madore (bmadore) and I decided that it was really appropriate that Barry take over as the manager of the group (this doesn't really mean a lot in this context except that Barry will have more admin privileges for the group and I will have less).
Twin Cities Drupal Camp 2013
The Twin Cities Drupal Camp will be held Thursday, July 18 through Sunday, July 21. Camp kicks off with a day of classes on Thursday, followed by two days of workshops, and closes with a sprint on Sunday.
More information is available at the camp website
If you would like more information, check out the website or you can reach out to the camp organizers at contact@tcdrupal.org
What would you like to learn at Drupal Camp?
Planning is underway for Drupal Camp 2013, and we're now turning our attention to developing the program of sessions and speakers. Input from the community would be very helpful as we kick off this phase of organizing. Please tell us:
What would you like to learn?
Who would you like to hear speak?
If you've attended similar training conferences, what sessions knocked your socks off?
What might help you become a better Drupal user, coder, site builder, themer, designer, etc.?
Thanks for sharing your ideas! And, if you want to get involved with Drupal Camp, email me.
Non-editable Page?
I'm using Drupal 6 and I have a page that I can't edit. I'm 98% sure this page is a page created using a view (I figured that out by removing a couple pages that in turn shortened the items on this mysterious page). When I move my mouse around the page, I don't get the Edit link that should appear for "View Pages". I've searched the View listing page and I can't find it listed there either.
Our other pages that are created with a content types should have an edit tab above the page title. This weird page that I'm having problems with doesn't have the Edit tab on it.

Re: site : http://99online.us
After upgrading the Drupal CORE from 6.24 to drupal 6.27 : The main navigation menu, under Create Content now shows Blog entry, Panel, and Poll for EVERYONE. Blog entry has permissions set just to Editors; Polls for Editors and Acitivist role; and Panel just for Admin.
When the menu items which people do not have rights to are clicked, they do get sent to "Access Denied" BUT why do these items show up in the menu anyway and how do I get rid of them
