About Me

I'm currently a doctoral student at Oregon State University studying human factors in aviation.

Professional Experience

I've been developing software professionally since 1998 and am familiar with the entire software development life cycle from requirements gathering to user acceptance testing and maintenance. I am also familiar with the full stack of software applications from the data to the user.

My programming experience covers both desktop and web applications in a range of industries from airlines and defense to non-profits. I began working full time with Drupal in 2007. I am very familiar with object-oriented programming techniques and have developed applications in Java, Python, and PHP.

Education

Doctoral Student, Industrial Engineering, Oregon State University. My current research is focused on how aircraft pilots deal with cognitive load and task switching in the cockpit and the design of cockpit avionics displays.

M.S., Information Studies, University of Texas at Austin. Applied research degree with an emphasis in usability and information architecture.

B.S., Software Engineering, University of Southern Mississippi.
