Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a set of techniques that helps your site be ranked higher in search engines, and hence drive more traffic. Since this field is important for all sites, it often suffers from hype, mystery, and unethical tactics as well. Use of the wrong tactics can hurt your site's ranking rather than benefit it.
Glenn Cooke is a local life insurance broker who drives his business growth via SEO. He's achieved top rankings in this ultra competitive niche through the use of ethical white hat optimization techniques.
He'll be speaking about how to get your personal or business site ranked in Google and other search engines, without resorting to spammy techniques. In his talk he'll provide details on changes to make to your site that help with ranking, as well as things you can do offsite that assist with your ranking.
In addition, time permitting, he'll provide a basic overview of how to have success with Google's paid advertising option Adwords.
