[Free Webinar] Drupal 8: Frontend for Backenders
Drupal 8 will ship with a fancy new template engine (Twig) and a simpler theme layer. In this webinar, our speaker will show you some goodies from Twig and give you a walkthrough on how to get started with it.
He will also talk about the major problems that people were facing in working with Drupal 7 and what the community has done to make it better. This webinar will show - in both practical examples and on a broader scale - why Drupal 8 will make peace between backenders and frontenders.

Read moreWhy site search isn't like Google
Hi,
we often hear site owners who want their site search to be like Google. But to be successful with site search we have found that a story from the history of automated chess helps explaining what needs to be done.
If you might be interested you can read the story here:

It would be very interesting to hear what you experience are the greatest challenges with site search?
Cheers!

Drupal 8 is taking the same path as other MVC (Model View Controller) frameworks like Ruby and Symfony, which makes it easier for developers to make an easy entry. Much of the Drupal code which seemed alien before now seems familiar to developers with experience in other frameworks.

Is there Furlough Freelancing work available?
So, not sure where to even post this, but I figured the DC group is probably the best one for this.
I'm furloughed as of Monday but that doesn't mean the mortgage and car loan payments aren't still due. So, I'm looking for anything part time or freelance related to UX, Information Architecture, Content Audits or Drupal Site Building (I can help with trouble shooting, too!).
If you know of any work, feel free to send me the lead, I'd be happy to talk to anyone.

Update WAMP and Drupal on Windows server
Our library website is currently running Drupal 6 on WAMP server 2.0 with php version 5.2.6 and mysql 5.1. We are now ready to replace the old site with one built in Drupal 7. Is it ok to also upgrade to WAMP 2.2? If so, what configuration files would I need to copy to make sure the public can access our site after the update?
Thanks.

Please help me. Maybe I am not techy enough for Drupal, but I just want to set up my site to look exactly like the Corked Screwer, and I don't know how??? I have pics ready to go to replace the ones that came with it, but I just don't understand how it works at all :(
Can anybody help me? my site is www.boatingbuzz.org
Also, I would like a built in directory on site, not of the site and my articles - but like an add on dbase maybe where I can have a look up and search directory of marinas, boat builders, etc.
Apologies if this has already been covered.
