Remote access to meetups

Do you offer remote access to your Drupal Meetups?
I started a group in hopes of getting Meetups with remote access listed in one place and bringing people from all over the world to your local meetups.

Drupal/php vs Java/JSP

I am working on developing a website which includes lots of calculators (users of the website will fill out the form and my website will do some calculations and will present the numeric result and some diagrams). Some of these calculators require relatively intense computations (e.g., integration). I am considering two options:
1. Using drupal/php
2. Using java servlets
My preference is working with Drupal; however, my concern is that php might not be as efficient as java Servlets for computational purposes.

I would appreciate any suggestions or comments.

Carpool to Western MA Drupal from NY.

I am driving to the Western Mass Drupalcamp this weekend from Ithaca, NY. Was wondering if anybody on my way might want a ride? Here is my route. I am presenting at the camp: http://drupalcampma.com/power-views.

Mainly just looking for company on part of the 4.5 hour drive. Also would consider sharing a hotel room but not necessary.

Thanks

November 12: Developer Dorm Room via Boston PHP Group

The Boston PHP group has acquired some free, collaborative, wifi-enabled work space on Saturday, 11/12 at the Microsoft N.E.R.D. center which is very close to the MIT space the Boston Drupal group uses for meetups.

"Do you have projects you've been dying to work on, but you're not sure how to get started? Are you looking for a way to get away from the distractions of home life so you can focus on development? Do you work better in a collaborative environment where you can bounce ideas off another developer?"
