Alfresco and Drupal have lived side by side for a fair amount of time, but we are now seeing traction around bringing the community together in a way that promotes integration and collaboration between these two amazing platforms.
The purpose of this group is to:
- Discuss possible ways to tie the two together
- Create a roadmap for developers to map out the integration effort
- A working group for developers who are implementing the above.

Alfresco, Drupal and Solr
I ran across a question about integrating Solr, Alfresco and Drupal and can't seem to find any discussion from anyone who may have done this.
So, can't think of a better place to ask the question.
Has anyone done it? And if so, how'd it go? Easy integration and configuration? Pit falls to be aware of? Any lessons learned?
Read moreusing same users/groups for Drupal and Alfresco
Hi,
I was looking for a solution to use the same users in Drupal and Alfresco.
LDAP seems a good approach but when you use the CMIS module for Alfresco integration, you need to provide a default user who is the user that connects from Drupal to Alfresco.
Is there any way to override this and connect to Alfresco using Drupal logged in user to use Alfresco file/directory permissions?
Cheers!
Pedro.
Alfresco Meetup
Alfresco is an open source enterprise content management system that integrates with Drupal. You can read more on the Drupal site, http://drupal.org/project/cmis_alfresco and on my blog at http://www.oldschooltechie.com/category/major-categories/drupal
We are having a free meetup in Atlanta on October 28th and are extending an invitation to the Drupal community. We'll talk about our recent DoD 5015.2 certification for records management, our CMIS implementation, our cloud developer kit and more. We'll also be happy to show you a demo of the Alfresco/Drupal integration.
Read morePossible links between Alfresco and Organic groups
I 'm trying to imagine how Drupal OG and Alfresco can work together to make collab projects
Would it be possible to find in one organic group a per user custom block that links to documents and posts from Alfresco he has access to ?
The goal is to get one content for all members (organic groups) and many content per user accordind define roles in the same page...
Good idea no ?

Wow, quite a crowd
Hey gang!
It seems as though we have quite a healthy interest in this topic so far.
I'd like to open by saying "Welcome" and asking people to post a quick reply to this thread talking about why they've joined here, what their interest in, and how they think Drupal and Alfresco can best be integrated.
Some things to think about:
- What do you want to do with it?
- What does Alfresco offer to you that Drupal doesn't?
- How about the other way? What does Drupal provide that Alfresco doesn't?
Looking forward to everyone's discussion! And welcome again!
