Advice on CCK field validation

Hi folks. Can anyone give me any advice on CCK field validation?

The CCK Validation module apparently seems to do what I need but is only available for Drupal 5 (I'm developing in Drupal 6). All I need to do is check if some user entered text contains a certain string and display a custom error message in place if that condition isn't met.

Sorry if it's a bit of a noob question.

Cheers.

Request for help for Drupal May 2010 workshop next Tuesday...

Hi guys and gals,

Been down with the flu for last few days and not organised anything for next Tuesday's scheduled Drupal Brighton May 2010 workshop.

Anyone willing to present anything? Educational, case study, etc.

Or perhaps just a general meetup?

Ideas please... I'm not really in the frame of mind to organise a presentation right now (am I ever?!!)

Thanks,

Steve

Drupal Brighton March 2010 Meetup is next Tuesday - what would you like to see?

Hi fellow Drupalers,

It's that time of the month again.... the Drupal Brighton meetup is next Tuesday from 8pm at http://theskiff.org

In my original year plan I had down to talk about best practices for setting up a Drupal development environment which I had imagined would be some kind of discussion between members, however I realise that this might not have broad appeal yet as there seems to be lots of people that still want to learn more of the basics about Drupal.

I'm also aware that it's only a few days away so organising anything too radical is a little pointless.

integrating csv files with drupal

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience with integrating csv files with Drupal? I wish to do the following and wish to know if it is possible and if so what the best practive would be - I have a csv file that contains details about properties e.g. price, no. of rooms, location, description etc. and wish to import this information into a node called property. The csv file will be changing on a daily basis, I would therefore like to schedule the import into drupal on a daily basis.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

nolan.

Drupal Brighton 2010 meeting plan

Hi all,

Firstly a very Happy New Year to you all!

I'd like to get the Drupal Brighton meetings up and running again and I need your feedback.

I've been reading about how Drupal Atlanta are organising their 2010 meetings (http://www.mediacurrent.com/blogs/best-practices-planning-your-2010-drup...) and would like to follow what they're doing.

Atlanta meet every third Tuesday which we might as well do as Tuesdays at http://theskiff.org are the 'BrightArray' software meetups, so the format would be something along the lines of this:

7-8pm general networking

Drupalversity

I've discussed this idea to some extent on the dev and docs mailing lists, it was suggested that I also post here. In brief:

I think it would be great if we (the broad Drupal community) could put together a series of online courses which teach people different aspects of Drupal.
