Hi,
I'm having trouble organising a speaker for Monday's Drupal Brighton meetup (3rd monday of month i.e. next week) - I've asked a couple of people but they can't make it. I've also forgotten to ask a couple of people who said they might be able to so posting here in case they're still interested or anyone else..!
Anyone have anything particular they'd like to share? Or shall we just have a social this month? Been mega-busy on the never-ending project I'm on so could do with a beer or two ;)

We have a special guest during this wonderful Brighton Digital Festival - Pedro Cambra who recently moved from CommerceGuys to Ymbra and currently holds my old position of community-elected Director of the Drupal Association.
Pedro will be presenting "Drupal 8: Undercover initiatives" so I hope to see quite a few of you this Monday 16th September, 7-9pm in the skiff - we'll be in the new side so please come to the door opposite the Basketmakers as there is another event on in the other part of the skiff!

Hi all,
Received an email from Rich who runs the BrightonPHP group who have their meeting the same Third Monday in theskiff as we do saying Alick is doing a talk on frameworks / Drupal at their next one so although we'd discussed Lewis doing a talk we might as well delay that till August, then do the council one in September when the BDF is on.
Sounds like talks about what you do as opposed to the software itself may attract more attention, so perhaps Lewis next month (if you're around!) it could focus on UX, but obviously based on the stuff you do with Drupal!

Drupal Brighton June Drinks: "Let's grow this thing!"
It is our monthly 3rd Monday Drupal Drinks in Brighton on 17th. We'll be back at the newly refurbished Eagle Pub in North Laine.
This month I'd like to encourage discussions on how we can grow the local group. We've not done events with talks for a while and as the amount of Drupal users and developers grow in Brighton (welcome Lewis & Emma!) it does feel like we've been plateauing out for a while now.
So come, drink beer/cider/coffee/etc., chat Drupal and let us know your suggestions - see you there!
