Welcome to the Groups site for the Denver/Boulder Drupal Users Group, where we discuss, share and find ways to provide local face-to-face interaction which can support activities like hosting speakers, providing tutorials, Question and Answer sessions, establishing relationships with others in the geographic area, and generally expand the community of Drupal users.
Schedule of meetings
- Boulder meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. Locations vary.
- Central Denver meetings on the 4th Tuesday of each month at Open Media Foundation (Map).
- South Denver meetings are on the 2nd Monday of each month at Innovation Pavilion (Map).
- Colorado Springs meetings are on the 1st Wednesday of each month. See the SCUG Group Page.
- Carbondale/Western Slope meetings are on the 3rd Tuesday each month, see the Western Colorado group for more info.
- Northern Colorado (Fort Collins/Greeley) meetings are on the 4th Monday, see the Northern Colorado group for more info.
- Drupal Contrib Ladder meetups, to help people get started in the Drupal Contrib space, will be held on the 3rd Wednesday each month at Applied Trust in Boulder.
Other ways to connect: The #drupal-colorado irc channel generally has many folks in it, happy to help with Drupal problems.
While the group is primarily focused on Denver/Boulder, people in Fort Collins, Lyons, the mountains, the Western Slope or the plains are certainly welcome. Heck, we've even had folks from Wyoming and other surrounding states come by.
Discussions and wikis
Sorry if this isn't the right format for following up on James's call for presentation ideas last night, but there ain't no way I'm hopping on IRC. ;)
I'd be interested in presenting next week [edited: next "month"]. Not sure what might be of interest or what y'all have been talking about lately.
I could potentially present on a few things, such as:
- Digital Experience Management (DEM) tools and strategies in Drupal
- Native CRM in Drupal (with emphasis on RedHen CRM)
- Salesforce integration with Drupal
Hello Colorado. I'm organizing a beginner track for DrupalCamp Colorado in Denver later this year. Our goal is to make the event a great learning experience for people with little to no previous Drupal experience. This is your personal invitation to speak in this track. Yes you.
Because the topics are all beginner-level, this track is also a great opportunity for beginner speakers. Experienced speakers are available and excited to help you prepare over the months between now and the camp. If you've never spoken at a Drupal event before, this is the perfect place to get started.Read more
Hey there, Colorado. My name is Sean Larkin. I'm the CEO and one of the founders of ThinkShout, Inc., a Drupal shop that serves the nonprofit sector. We write and maintain some modules and stuff, like the Salesforce Suite, RedHen CRM, the MailChimp module, and Entity Registration.
Most of our team is in Portland, OR. However, I just moved to Denver and look forward to getting to know some folks here in town. It's exciting to get to know another vibrant Drupal community!
That's about all I got. I'll see y'all at a meet-up soon, I hope.
It's time again for this year's CiviDay! We are SUPER excited to kickoff the Drupal Contrib Ladder meetup. Information about what we are trying to do with this can be found at https://groups.drupal.org/node/453903 but for the high level summary we are looking to help people get started in the Drupal Contrib space.
Whether you already know how to build a module or theme and are a contrib master, or you are just starting out getting your system setup, we are here to help. We also have modules ourselves that we are working on and this will allow us the time to focus on getting those updated and posted.Read more
This month we are lucky to have Jeff come and talk about Drupal 7 multi-site setup. He is currently maintaining a number of sites using this and he will give us a run down on the benefits and pitfalls of having such a setup.
As always AppliedTrust will be providing food and drink so come, hang out, meet other Drupalistas in the Community.
If you are interested in speaking at a future Boulder DBUG meetup, please fill out this form (http://atrust.com/dbug).
Allow people to work on contributed projects in a working group environment. This session will be like the original Drupal Ladder but geared more towards contributed modules instead of Core.
Contributing to Drupal Core can be intimidating what with all those super smart Drupal experts questioning everything you do. It can seem overwhelming to learn a section of core and track down all the areas where your changes will affect the system. The Drupal Ladder aimed at reducing the level of entry with the goal of getting to a 1% core contributor mark for D8.Read more
A meeting of Drupal users from the south Denver metro area: Denver Tech Center, Lone Tree, Parker, Highlands Ranch ... you get the idea.
Drupal meet-ups are where members of the Drupal open source community gather to share knowledge, tips, and fellowship. We mostly look like web designers, web developers, user interface experts, mobile device application developers -- anyone with an interest in the Drupal open source content management platform.Read more
