Welcome to the Groups site for the Denver/Boulder Drupal Users Group, where we discuss, share and find ways to provide local face-to-face interaction which can support activities like hosting speakers, providing tutorials, Question and Answer sessions, establishing relationships with others in the geographic area, and generally expand the community of Drupal users.
Schedule of meetings
- Boulder meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. Locations vary.
- Central Denver meetings on the 4th Tuesday of each month at Open Media Foundation (Map).
- South Denver meetings are on the 2nd Monday of each month at Innovation Pavilion (Map).

- Drupal Contrib Ladder meetups, to help people get started in the Drupal Contrib space, will be held on the 3rd Wednesday each month at Applied Trust in Boulder.
Other ways to connect: The #drupal-colorado irc channel generally has many folks in it, happy to help with Drupal problems.
While the group is primarily focused on Denver/Boulder, people in Fort Collins, Lyons, the mountains, the Western Slope or the plains are certainly welcome. Heck, we've even had folks from Wyoming and other surrounding states come by.
Discussions and wikis
I need to get an e-commerce site up and running this summer. I have a Drupal template and space on a server, but I have no idea how to begin. I'm looking for a mentor in Golden, CO or nearby that would be willing to walk me through it and help get me up and running. I would compensate this person for their time. :-) Anyone interested?
Stuck in town, unable to go to DrupalCon LA -- and in need of an excuse to not stay home Monday night and clean the house?
Come down to the South Denver Drupal Meetup! Our meetings are relaxed and free-form. Bring your problems, questions -- or bring whatever cool things you're working on, or have learned new about Drupal. We'll help with your problems and questions, and will gladly hear what's new.
Bonus points to anyone involved with Drupal Camp Colorado who's willing to tell us about this upcoming event, and encourage presentation submissions!Read more
Time for another Drupal Contrib Ladder meetup at AppliedTrust.
I'm excited to try something a bit different this month. We will be gathering ideas on a group project that we can all contribute to. The idea being that by working together in a team on a fun project, we will all get experience and learn Drupal concepts.
If, however, you are simply looking for some help with your own project or wanting to get started in some other way, we can absolutely lend a hand there as well.Read more
DrupalCamp Colorado is an annual gathering of people learning and discussing Drupal, an open-source content management system. Sessions will cover a range of topics from basic to complex, with plenty in between. Join us in beautiful Denver, Colorado to share, learn, collaborate, and get involved in the community!
The latest and greatest in Drupal and the rest of the web technology world.
As Drupal has become more of an enterprise development platform, interfacing with the rest of the web technology world is becoming more common and critical. In fact, Drupal 8 itself is incorporating many technologies not developed by the Drupal community.
Latest & greatest. With all of your contributions, we'll review the latest and greatest topics featured at DrupalCon LA, sharing all of our opinions on it: "Go", "No Go", or "I'll Wait".Read more
A meeting of Drupal users from the south Denver metro area: Denver Tech Center, Lone Tree, Parker, Highlands Ranch ... you get the idea.
Drupal meet-ups are where members of the Drupal open source community gather to share knowledge, tips, and fellowship. We mostly look like web designers, web developers, user interface experts, mobile device application developers -- anyone with an interest in the Drupal open source content management platform.
We normally talk "triage" (what are you stuck on?) and "tips/tricks" (what new things have you learned, to share with others?).Read more
There is so much more to Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) than resolution independence. Unlike a static bitmap, SVG can be animated; styled with CSS; even generated dynamically from Drupal content.
This month, John Ferris from Aten Design Group, will show us some of the more interesting applications of SVG. We'll focus on the different ways of implementing SVG on your Drupal site; the pros and cons of each and why you might choose one approach over another.
Pizza and socializing starts at 6:30 p.m.
Discussion and presentations start at 7.Read more
This month we have Kevin Reynen stopping by to tell us about proposed changes to Drupal.org git as well as changes to the Project Application Review process.
I'm excited about this since we are trying to help others through the review process in the Drupal Contrib Ladder to allow them to contribute to Drupal.
As always there will be food and drinks provided by AppliedTrust.

This month, Zeke Weeks talks taking a super problematic web application and find a way to keep it from costing us money, sleep, and sanity. He will discuss useful approaches to improving projects midstream, a few Drupal technologies that can help – or hinder – the process, and a few ways not to fall behind while you're cleaning up your site.Read more
