The primary goal of the Drupalgängers, defined as friends, partners, spouses, and other associates of Drupal community members, is to have a contingency of awesome individuals with whom we may enjoy the "con" - without ever having to participate in the geekdom of the event - by traveling around the town or city together.
On Sunday October 13, 2013, the Droplabs family is heading down to Alpine Village in Torrance to celebrate Oktoberfest 2013!
We will be meeting at Droplabs at 12:30 pm and leaving promptly at 1:00 pm.
You may also make your own way to the event and join us there.
Sundays are family days with kiddie jumpers, sweet treats and games, so bring the kids.Read more
Curious who is thinking of going to Drupalcon Denver. I Live in Denver and will be there with my 6 month old Daughter Rose. I maybe limited on places we will go to but will be happy to help plan and coordinate places that people will like to go. The Museum of Art, Denver Library ( architecturally neat ), Denver Capital Building and the Denver Mint are all in Walking distance. The Denver mint is free to tour but the there is a sign up online that can be several weeks wait to sign up.Read more
Does anyone would like to make a Wikipedia page for Drupalgangers? Heather, Amy, it would be great to have such a page to link to from future conference websites. People are getting confused about who drupalgangers are and have no idea how it started.
are you planning to visit London this August?
if you like to help with Drupalgangers' activities in London, please consider joining the team as a volunteer.
If anyone wants to join London team it would be great, please do. There will be lots of free activities, picnics, boat rips and tours for Drupalcon attendees and Drupalgangers this year. Please let me know if you have any suggestions about site-seeing or things you want to do in London.Read more
Who is going to Chicago and wants to meet up with some Drupalgangers?
I will unfortunately not be able to come to either Chicago or London this year due to work schedule conflicts. I'm sure both will be very fun, however.
I want to be sure we have someone at each 2011 conference who has the login info for the @drupalgangers twitter account and is willing to broadcast plans and updates during the week.
Please let us know if you are planning to be in Chicago and / or London and willing to take this on.
There will be a Drupal party every night in the next 4 days at 8 pm at the fooBar. Since the Gangers don't have a name badge, we have to make a list with Gangers' names for the entrance. Please write here or send me an email with your name to make the list.

address of fooBAR:

Have any of you already made plans to go to Copenhagen 2010 Drupalcon? Found a good apartment or hotel for lodging? Want to volunteer to organize the Drupalganger meeting point during the con?
I don't know if I'm going yet but we'll be deciding soon.
We will meet in the Moscone lobby near the Drupalganger sign.
Gather between 8:30 am and 9. Some will go to the de Young for the special flower exhibit or the Cal. academy of science museum where it is free entry day. Afternoon plans are unplanned. Please join us if you want to head to Golden Gate park or if you want to invite others to join your adventure! It's been a very fun week so far!
There is room in the limo for anyone wanting to wine taste and enjoy Napa Valley. Date of departure is Thursday April 22. It's an 8 hour adventure from 9-5. Please let me know if you want to go since I need an accurate head count. Thanks. Food & wine - it's a good combination!Read more
The Drupalgangers will meet in the Moscone lobby again near the drupalganger sign.
Some of us want to go to Alcatraz even if it's raining. Others have already been or want to do other things, so ideas are welcome. Please send your plans to the Dg Twitter feed if you are open to company on your Tuesday adventures.
The Drupalgangers will gather between 8:30 & 9:00 AM on Monday morning in the Moscone South lobby near the Drupalgangers sign. We plan to see the "painted ladies" on our way to Golden Gate Park where we have lots of possible activities. This won't take up the whole day, so get on the drupalganger Twitter feed to stay in touch and let us know what you are doing. We had fun on Sunday and missed those who aren't here or didn't join us!Read more
I'm happy to report that it is possible to go on a wine tasting trip to Napa County, even with short notice. Please let me know if you are interested in exploring this beautiful area of the San Francisco Bay. You can contact me directly on my cell at: 310-497-8094 or at the Westin hotel where I'll be staying, or when we meet on Sunday. (The room in the Westin, is under Cary Gordon). The best day to go is either Wednesday 4/21 or Thursday 4/22. I think it will be a lot of fun. Looking forward to seeing and meeting you all.Read more
Getting around the city with public transportation just got a little quicker. You can buy a translink card and make getting on and off public transportation easier. Check out their website.
The TransLink card allows you to:
* Stop carrying multiple forms of payment (exact change, tickets or passes). * Get on the bus, train or ferry faster.
I hope everyone is as excited about roaming around all the beautiful sites of San Francisco as I am. There is a lot to see and many places to visit. I will have materials available for you at the conference site. Together we can plan where we want to adventure. Some of the interesting points of interest include: Golden Gate park, Golden Gate Bridge, Union Square, Chinatown, the Ferry Building, the Art Museum, Alcatraz, Coit Tower, the Wharf, and Ghirardelli Square. We can go walking, hiking, on a cable care, on a ferry, on a bicycle, on a bus, on the bart.Read more

So it's 2 months until DrupalCon SF! There's been a little talk of what's fun to do in San Francisco at the conference website here: http://sf2010.drupal.org/forum/22/activities-spouse-partner-gfbf-parents...
Who's coming? Where are you staying? When will you be there? What do you want to do?
I think I'll be there April 17 to 24. Must do things for me are lunch in Chinatown, Alcatraz, and walking over the Golden Gate Bridge. We're hoping to go to a baseball game as well.
In addition to our meeting on Tuesday morning at the conference venue, we have another chance to meet each other in Paris.
Drupalgangers will have a casual meet-up/BOF on Monday, August 31. Conference attending partners and family are welcome. You can arrive at the Palantir apartment to chat and have a drink any time between 6 and 7 PM. At 7 PM anyone who wants to join in will then head to Bastille, where there are many bars and cafés (10 to 15 minutes walk).
