The DevOps Lead role at Mediacurrent is exposed to a variety of learning opportunities and challenging assignments. You will collaborate with some of the top minds in the industry. Additionally, the DevOps Lead will help push a number of internal projects forward.

The DevOps Lead cultivates Mediacurrent’s approach to systems administration with respect to optimal Drupal CMS performance and maintainability. This role will support Mediacurrent’s internal build and deployment platform infrastructure as well as advise external customers on best-practice strategies for building hosting and deployment systems. The DevOps Lead will also advise team members on how to configure optimally performing LAMP stacks targeted for various customer business requirements.

Additionally, the DevOps Lead will be responsible for crafting the vision and technical implementation strategy for website projects. The DevOps Lead works with customers to derive project requirements and architects custom systems that conform to customer requirements. The DevOps Lead defines the technical strategy through drafting architecture diagrams, workflow diagrams, specification documents, use cases, and wireframes.

Our next DevOps Lead will possess the following knowledge/skills:

2+ years experience designing and building large-scale custom web applications.
3+ years experience designing and building custom Drupal implementations.
Experience with detailed product release planning and execution.
Keen awareness of product technology positioning and market landscape with regard to Drupal.
Deep knowledge of the Drupal API and application framework, including module and theme layer, and ability to create pragmatic custom technology solutions founded on Drupal best practices.
Excellent grasp of the LAMP stack and how to optimally configure for the highest level of performance and efficiency.
Concise understanding of PHP, MySQL, CSS, HTML, Javascript/jQuery.
Excellent grasp of Linux operating system and bash scripting.
Advanced knowledge of Drupal caching techniques such as Varnish, Authcache, Memcached, Ngninx.
