Job Description:

The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) is seeking a Drupal Developer to create, maintain, and administer Drupal websites as envisaged by the Society’s Strategic Plan and goals of the department


Create and maintain web-based applications in Drupal environment per business logic provided, configure Drupal modules, create new features as necessary, and administer all aspects of Drupal-based CMS

Act as technical owner of assigned projects and products and provide technical direction to business wherever necessary

Manage propagation of self-coded application changes to production while ensuring optimal performance and stability of products and initiate code refactoring efforts within assigned projects and products to incorporate best practices and improve maintainability of technical solutions

Work with DB elements commensurate with developer-level expectations and with DBA and .net developers as necessary on complex and cross-functional deliverables

Create and maintain relevant technical documentation for projects and products owned, both individually and within teams, and monitor and adapt new technologies in a timely manner

To qualify for the position, the candidate must possess:

Atleast2+ years of experience creating and maintaining Drupal7 websites

5+ years of experience in Web development

Experience in other technologies (java, .net, iOS) is not required but a definite plus

Should be self-sufficient in Drupal front end/theming

Degree in Business Management, MIS, Computer Science, or related discipline

Strength of communication combined with an ability to make your point clearly, effectively, and with diplomacy
