Columbia Law School seeks a Web Content and Communications Officer to act as the lead communications officer for the Office of Admissions. The incumbent will be responsible for the management of the Office of Admissions website content, and will work closely with other Admissions Officers and the School’s Communications and Information Technology departments to coordinate and/or manage related projects with the focus being on creativity, functionality, and innovative solutions. The incumbent will be responsible for drafting, designing, and coordinating the publication of various Admissions materials. The Web Content and Communications Officer will also be responsible for external communications with prospective students.

Columbia University is committed to the hiring of qualified local residents.

Bachelor's degree or its equivalent, plus at least 3-5 years of relevant experience. Strong verbal and written skills including editorial experience necessary as is an understanding of web publishing and the technical concepts involved in implementing web publishing solutions. Graphic design experience, specifically with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop; content management system experience, specifically with Drupal; and campaign email system experience, specifically with Mailchimp/Mandrill, are pluses.
