The meeting announcements on the home page are not up to date. When I went back top my email to get the meeting link (a little after 7) Meetup couldn't process my RSVP. Is this page used for meeting announcements anymore? If not, can a general posting be done to send people to Meetup? Can Meetup be configured to allow people into the event late?

If anyone wants to present something on the spur of the moment, or talk about a Drupal Camp or Con they attended recently, all good, but we intentionally have no specific agenda, the whole evening is basically one big Drupal After Dark. We hope you will join us.

There seem to be several choices for D7, including at least one based on Drupal Commerce, but I haven't found any that can handle simple individual membership that controls access to a portion of the site.
Ideally someone would have developer (or at least configurator) experience with a (or a collection of) modules that handle online payment for individual memberships. Membership can be signified with the presence of a particular role.
