Library BoF at DrupalCon Portland?
I know a couple of library people are going to DrupalCon in Portland in a week or two.
Looks to me like a great opportunity to get together and talk shop. So how about if we organize a Drupal4Lib BoF -- maybe on the Wednesday (5/22) sometime mid-day or in the early afternoon?
Topics could be open or suggested ahead of time. People could present projects they're working on, ask whatever questions they want. It'd be a great time!
Feel free to leave a suggestion here or email me back. Is this a good general time to meet? Do you have a topic you'd want to suggest?
Any feedback is appreciated! And hope to see you in Portland!

- The Library of the Future - Solr Search and Responsive Design for Multnomah County Library
- Re-imagining libraries on the web: a case study of the Stanford University Libraries website redesign
- Migrating the Library [GWU]
I may have missed something so feel free to add.

New library website in Drupal: North Dakota State University Libraries
I recently completed the migration of the North Dakota State University Libraries website from WordPress to Drupal. I was new to Drupal when I started, and the migration and design team was me, so the team didn't really know what it was doing for a while. :)

I'm using Drupal Acquia 6 with the Millennium OPAC Module.
I'm ultimately trying to make it possible for our site visitors to subscribe via email to an RSS view I've created (yes - I know emailing RSS feeds is anachronistic, but this is what the client wants). So I am trying to burn my feed to google feedburner so I can leverage their email subscription and statistics tools (but if anyone knows of a better/pure Drupal solution, I would love to hear about it. Please note: the solution has to allow unauthenticated users to subscribe).

Hello All
We have been planning to create an extensive online library. I have been looking around in drupal for a couple of days and came across some modules and examples. But still I am wondering if there are specific modules that should be used!
I would like to elaborate our case as follows:
We aim not only to make a catalog of books [with all its specifications, Book Title, Author, Genre, Pages, Publishing Year, Edition, Publisher, Keywords] but also completing it with biographies of authors, book reviews and discussions.
Creating an online book club
Hello library Drupalers,
I am setting out to create an online book club in Drupal and I am looking for some suggestions/advice.
Here's the basics of the functionality: book club admins create individual book clubs, send out emails to club members, create discussion topics.
Book club members either create a new website account or user their current account to sign up for a book club. Users only post to discussions and receive email pertaining to clubs they sign up for.

Hi All,
For those folks going to ALA in Chicago (or even if you are not) it would be great if you could vote for the session - “Liberate Your Information” - Revolutionizing the Library Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) with Drupal.
Kelly Lucas did a lightening session on this at Code4Lib, but this is a fantastic topic for anyone interested in seeing the infinite possibilities with Drupal - in this case integrating with third-party library systems.

hello, we have a D6 multi-site (30 sites) and is using webfm module in all of them. our drupal files is around 10gb (and growing) and webfm indexes these files into database during cron run, and this process is taking up resources and takes some time to complete. then we do the same task or webfm indexing for all 30 sites, so they all add up to lots of resources and execution time.

Hi all,
Anyone up for a collaboration to build a multisite for small- to mid-sized journals?
Let me explain.
OP2 did a marvelous job for me way back. I showed the possibilities and what one can achieve with Drupal. In my case this resulted in a website that has a complete archive of a literature journal, with author-controlled biographies, blogs, events... and hopefully soon an e-shop (cf. Ubercard), mobile webapp (cf. Services), metadata-standards based exports (MarcXML, MODS), archival/preservation (cf. exports to Internet archive)...

I am trying to build a simple web application to view items in a Fedora repository. I am aware of the Islandora project, but our team was not satisfied with it as a solution (I am not criticizing their hard-work!). I am looking to build an alternative module / feature / cookbook to contribute back to the Drupal community that would be helpful for other archival institutions who want to implement a Drupal solution for a digital archive / repository.
