I need to upload my own video on to my drupal 6 site! can anyone help me which module should I install so i can easily upload my video.. is there any module where any format video can be uploaded? avi, mpeg, wmv or flv??

Embedded Media Field or File Field
For Drupal 6, the Embedded Media Field (http://drupal.org/project/emfield) provides a cck field for externally hosted videos eg YouTube.
If you actually want to upload a video file to your site, File Field (http://drupal.org/project/filefield) provides a field to upload files.
Once you have your video file uploaded to a node on your site, there are various ways you can look to play the video to your site visitors.
Try out SWF Tools: http://drupal.org/project/swftools (works well for me)
Or perhaps http://drupal.org/project/jwplayermodule or http://drupal.org/project/flashvideo (I've not tried either of these)

additional modules
Embedded Media Field (http://drupal.org/project/emfield) does sound like the way to go, as @ecofinn mentioned. I implemented it on a D6 site recently, and found a few additional modules that go with it to be useful:
1) Embedded Media Thumbnail (http://drupal.org/project/emthumb)
2) Embedded Video Field (http://drupal.org/project/emvideo)
3) Media YouTube (http://drupal.org/project/media_youtube)
I also saw Aaron Winborn and Jacob Singh present on the new Media module in Drupal 7 (http://drupal.org/project/media). They have completely changed how Drupal handles media, making it much more API-ish. Depending upon how far along in your project you are, you may want to consider at least checking out the differences.
