As announced by Dries at http://buytaert.net/jennifer-hodgdon, Jennifer "jhodgdon" Hodgdon (the Documentation Team lead) now has commit access to Drupal 7 and 8, to focus on documentation and coding standards patches. The hope is that delegating responsibility for documentation and code style patches to Jennifer will help increase the velocity of Drupal 8 development, and allow catch, Dries, and myself to focus on the critical/major bug queues.
