The Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society is seeking a dynamic qualified candidate to work in the Communications Department who can expertly perform Drupal development work to help create the Front End of our public sites, using Drupal 6 + theming capabilities. This position is responsible for translating visual designs into web pages using up-to-date front web technologies. Able to create compelling and cutting edge web and e-mail applications. Must possess excellent internet application development techniques, and the desire to evangelize best practices to the team. Strong conceptual thinker and creative problem solver who can articulate site successes and who is a self-starter. Must be able to maintain corporate brand identity across multiple platforms and media.

•Solid experience using web standards to build valid and semantic XHTML and CSS driven sites (HTML5, CSS3 a plus)
•Comfortable experience in using graphic design tools is required (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Dream Weaver)
•Strong understanding of interaction design, typography, and color theory in creating motivating online communications
•Experience with AJAX third party API’s., frameworks such as jQuery
•Portfolio presentation is expected, to include URLs of websites samples of user interface design that reflect one’s work as well as documentation that leads to the site, including wireframes, site maps, navigation flows, and interaction design.
•Ability to work under tight schedules across multiple projects simultaneously.
•Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills are necessary. Strong technical-problem-solving and organizational skills are required, along with proven ability to work independently.
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience of 3-5 years.
