Adayana Government Group is seeking a Drupal Backend Developer to join our team of highly skilled Software Engineers. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of cutting-edge web development technologies including open source content management systems such as Drupal 7.x, PHP, SQL. Work involves all phases of the software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, architecture, design, coding, debugging, unit/integration testing, documentation and maintenance. This position is located in Urbana, Illinois.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Work closely with lead software engineer and project stakeholders to develop requirements and expected deliverables
· Implement software in accordance with design specifications and in compliance with company standards and procedures
· Perform task breakdowns and effort estimates
· Apply quality assurance standards throughout the entire development lifecycle in compliance with company procedures and industry best practices
· Communicate with team and project management in a timely and effective manger
· Provide technical documentation for both internal and external stakeholders

Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or Mathematics
· 3-5 years related experience required
· Ability to obtain government security clearance required, active DoD Secret a plus
· Expert knowledge of Drupal 7.x architecture and development an absolute must
· Expert in writing Drupal 7.x Modules with PHP and SQL using Eclipse IDE or Xcode IDE
· Expert in Drupal Installation Profile development with Features and Hooks
· Proficient in managing and deploying sofware with Git (distributed revision control and source code management)
· Installation, configuration and theming Drupal-based websites
· Customizations of Drupal core and contributed modules
· Performance of site maintenance and upgrades
· Expert in LAMP solution stack (RedHat Linux 5.5, Apache 2.0 and MySQL 5.6 and PHP 5.3)
· Expert with Unix Shell Scripting and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.5 server management
· Excellent understanding of object oriented (OO) analysis and design principles as well as demonstrated proficiency in OO design
· Must understand fundamentals of software engineering principles and how to apply to design and develop robust, efficient, scalable and maintainable applications
· Strong problem solving, analytical and debugging skills
· Ability to work within a tightly knit team as well as independently when required
· Strong organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to describe problems and solutions in a clear, concise manner
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-critical work environment
· Optional: Experience with Akamai cloud computing and CDN
