As part of the GFI MAX marketing team based in Dundee, you will work closely with the Senior Website Designer and Marketing Managers to create and maintain web-based tools and systems for our growing customer base.

What we’re looking for.

You’ll be a perfect fit if you’re passionate for all things web, love problem-solving and are open-minded about new technology and techniques. You will have a complete grasp of using PHP, HTML and CSS to build things on the web that are secure, fast-loading and easy to use.

We need someone with a strong knowledge of build and usability issues for the web, and enough experience in website development to ensure our customers always have access to the websites, tools and systems we provide.

Duties include:

  • Creation of new CMS-based websites
  • Updating existing websites with new features
  • Maintenance of existing CMS-based websites to maintain security and performance
  • Front-end website development (HTML5, CSS3, Javascript)

Requirements:

  • 2+ years PHP or other significant programming experience
  • Front-end development experience for desktop and mobile
  • Awareness of SEO and UX principles
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills

Desirable:

  • Drupal experience
  • Wordpress experience
  • Familiarity with LESS or SASS
  • Online portfolio of recent website work
