Meeting recap

Nice to see everyone this evening, quick run down of topics discussed:

  1. Ger asked some good questions about how to get custom styling overrides on a Commerce Kickstart site he's building. https://drupal.org/project/css_injector seems like a good fit to quickly let you do minor tweaks to existing themes. Keep in mind all css edits in that module are stored in the database so controlling changes via version control isn't possible. Any semi complex modifications should be done in a custom theme, but css_injector is a nice way to make simple css changes.
  2. Our group Hopewell charity project is coming together, Mailchimp and Mandrill are working pretty well, Jaymie's forging on with our front end theme. We've decided on CKEditor 4.x (as inspired by Drupal 8 core) partnered with https://drupal.org/project/imce and https://drupal.org/project/image_resize_filter for our media management. More info at http://drupalgoldcoast.com/dgc/node/108
  3. Saul briefly ran through his experiences at Pacific Northwest Drupal summit in Vancouver Canada last weekend. Highlights include webchick's talk on Drupal 8, meeting chx in person and seeing his work on getting Migrate in Drupal 8 core as well as starting the Drupal 8 port of https://drupal.org/project/webform.

See everyone next month!
