Last month's Drupal theming doubleheader was a hit, so we're going to do another 7/8 doubleheader! This month we're covering custom modules in D7 and D8!
But first we'll take care of a little Drupal 6 business. Drupal 6 was really awesome for its time, but with Drupal 8 on the horizon, it means 6 support is going away. Melissa is going to give a quick lightning talk about IMP and how you can get involved.
Following that Maria will be showing us how to create custom modules with Drupal 7, then Jason will demonstrate the corresponding process to make the custom module in Drupal 8.
As usual, we'll start at 6pm with pizza sponsored this month by OMBU. OMBU is responsible for some really great sites, including Stand for Children which was presented on earlier this year. They recently moved into a bigger office space and like most Portland Drupal shops, they're hiring!
Following the DUG and announcements we'll head over to the Lucky Lab on Quimby (map) for more food, drink and socializing.
