Come out and play with us!
That means many things to many people:
There will be people of all skill levels, and backgrounds that are generally helping one another and getting assistance with issues. Even if you're new come out and ask questions; in a couple of events you'll be answering others' questions I promise.
Sunday, January 26, 2013 @ 11:00 AM to prob 5PM
I thought that I should post the meetup.com link to the playdays.
Even though is is under "Training" -> the idea here is that you get to train yourself ;)

This playday is hosting the Global Drupal Ladder Sprint!
If you aren't familiar with the Drupal Ladder Project here is a short description:
The Drupal Ladder project is part of an initiative to help Drupal users get started learning and contributing back to Drupal. The stated goal is to get "just" 1% of active users on drupal.org to contribute to Drupal core by the end of 2014. This is a great way to learn about and contribute to Drupal 8.
Here is a link to the event that we are happy to host!

Come for the Playday...stay for the ladder (and vice versa!)
We need people to lead very short mini sessions (i.e. •setting up a local dev environment •installing Drupal/Git locally •what is a patch? •testing a patch •writing a patch) and/or to mentor people during the ladder sprint which is being held from 2-5 p.m. during the Playday; PLEASE contact me before Sunday if you are interested in participating.
Sorry I can't make this one
It's been a long time since I missed one of these, but a previous commitment intervenes. I'm particularly sorry to miss a playdate that's also a Ladders/Global Sprint session.
Today was great...
The energy was fantastic, the vibe was fun and people seemed to get what they were looking for...
Thanks to everyone that made today great, and special thanks to those that presented / assisted with the Drupal Ladder portion. Look forward to next month's playday, and us co-hosting the Drupal Ladder event again!
Thanks
Thanks to everyone who presented and helped with the Drupal ladder sprint. I learned a lot and hope to learn more ASAP so hat I can jump in and start contributing.
