TC Drupal January Meetup -- Theming for Sitebuilders

The New Year is here and the polar vortex is (hopefully) behind us so it’s time for all interested in Drupal to get together. Join us for the January 2014 TC Drupal meetup on Wednesday January 22nd from 7-9PM at Intermedia Arts in Minneapolis. Our good friend David Needham has volunteered to present this month on the topic of Theming for Site Builders, a presentation he test-drove at this past Fall’s BadCamp. See details below. We’ll also preview the upcoming TC

Theming for Site Builders: Getting Started the Drupal Way

Do you enjoy building your Drupal site but dread the long and tedious theming process? You will be happy to learn that there are some site building techniques that could shave DAYS off of theming your sites. The trick is to figure out which modules support theming synergy.

This session goes into depth explaining many of the tricks I've learned from working on existing sites, brand new sites and horror stories told in training sessions. I'll share some of my favorite problems, favorite site-building solutions to those problems, and best practices for working solo or on a team.

Keeping in the spirit of site building, we will not be writing code — everything you learn will be from within the Drupal interface.

Drupal eCommerce meetup 6-7PM

Look for an announcement from Maryann King for the skinny on the Drupal Commerce and Ubercart meetup scheduled at the same place just prior to the main meetup at 7. Maryann says she has a presentation ready about SEO and Commerce.
