Harvard Medical School seeks a highly motivated and creative developer to work as part of a team delivering web solutions with Drupal as our web publishing platform. This Applications Integrator will:

Design and develop new solutions using both Drupal and a wide variety of widgets and APIs, as well as maintain existing websites. Work with project team members to clarify business requirements, develop technical scope and documentation, as well as write, test and maintain Drupal website code.

The web integrator/developer is responsible for research, iterative design, experimentation, and software development on projects delivering CMS enabled (Drupal framework) web sites, native mobile applications for iOS and Android, and internal software focused on employee productivity, work stream automation, and collaboration. Mastery of XML, JSON, jQuery, Ajax, HTML 5, CSS, and RESTful Web Services. Gather and communicate technology requirements both to and from customers. Generate design templates that demonstrate UI effects. Maintain an interface library of widgets and tools that can be reused and repurposed to streamline web development and delivery. Build and maintain a high-performance & scalable platform hosting multiple external and internal websites. Rapidly iterate on platform features, developing new modules and elegant solutions using Drupal API. Write front-end code using Drupal theming engine, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript. Participate in design and architecture reviews of new applications and major system enhancements.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 4 years of broad IT experience in web and internet technologies, preferably in a large global organization. Strong experience with object-oriented development and experience with PHP, Java, JavaScript, HMTL5, and CSS3. Degree in Computer Science preferred. Experience with C#/.NET also preferred. The successful candidate will have broad technical delivery experience and experience working in an agile team. Must have the ability to function as part of a team and have big picture orientation with strong attention to detail. Collaboration skills and the ability to build strong win/win relationships with partners are required. A results and performance driven attitude with strong sense of accountability and drive to get results also required. Working with Test Driven Development is a plus. Experience with open source repositories (SVN/git) is required. Proficiency in unit and functional testing is required. Experience with full-stack PHP development (PHP, RESTful APIs and JSON) is preferred. Experience with iOS or Android is a plus. Experience with jQuery, Backbone, and node.js is preferred.
