First Friday D8 Contrib Sprint

The next First Friday Contrib Sprint is coming up.

Friday March 7th we will meet again to push Contrib Modules for Drupal 8. Yes, it's this friday already!

There was huge progress in Drupal 8 recently. Critical bugs for the long awaited beta release are melting down quickly. Read more about Core progress in This Week in Drupal Core.

Also a lot of progress is going on in the Contrib area. Most serious maintainer already started to play with Drupal 8. The range varies from proof of concepts in Drupal 8 environments to almost completed ports including major refactorings. Many of the bigger contrib framework modules that are familiar building blocks are already work in progress.

This is a global initiative: Mobilize the Drupal companies in your area, get together, and create some great Drupal 8 modules.

You are welcome to join our team in the MD Systems office - we will help you to get started.

We are currently working on ports of modules like: Monitoring, TMGMT, Mailsystem, Past, Sharemessage.

Also we will investigate the status of projects like Search API, Media, Flag, Payment, Token, Pathauto... and decide for future strategies.
